The L.A. Times reports that the Jungle Cruise Skippers have now been disarmed. For years the skippers would fight off an armada of angry hippos with only a tiny pistol....well....it was at least one or two Hippos wiggling their ears in anger. In later years, as the PC Wave hit in the early 1990's, the skippers were asked to shoot warning shots into the air instead of at the hippos. Now...they have been disarmed and left helpless against the hippos in the latest wave of being Politically Correct in today's society. Though it's perfectly okay to shoot at objects in the Frontierland Shooting Galleryor to have an entire attraction based on blowing away Zurg and his minions.
