Hunchback Musical?

Composer Stephen Schwartz, whose Wicked shares a common demographic with the Chicklet of the Sea, owes a couple of Oscars to Disney films, so one can't help wondering when his Disney-animated film will turn into a Broadway musical.

"I think we're starting up Hunchback of Notre Dame, hopefully, next year. Rumor has reached my ear that it's happening."

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I SO hope this is true. This is my favorite of ANY of the modern Disney musicals. I've owned the German soundtrack to the Hunchback musical (that Disney opened in Berlin years back) ever since it first became available. IT IS INCREDIBLE!!!! I will fly to NYC to audition for this thing the second I hear about it. :sohappy:

I think Hunchback would be a wonderful musical! I've always thought that the songs were in line with Beauty and Beast as far as a broadway production is concerned. I'm very excited to hear this news!

From the first time my wife and I saw Hunchback, we both thought it was almost made to be a Broadway Musical. This one makes a lot of sense :sohappy:
