HUGE setback in our planning

Hello all!

So our trip had all been planned out for a trip from December 8th-15th and now we're having to move it back to the 15th-22nd...I am terrified that the crowds are going to be so crazy it's just going to be a waste. Can someone give me some insight into how bad the crowds might be? Ease my pain? This is my fiance's first trip, I want it to be magical .

we just returned yesterday after being there 12/21-12/29. yes, crowds are big, but not until mid-late morning. we did the opening time each day and had NO issues any day getting on anything!!! In fact, on Dec 23, we did Epcot, and we were able to do soarin and test track twice before things got crazy!! (and that included a delayed opening of test track due to the cold temps) My best advice would be to go in as soon as the parks open and head right for the attraction you want. then get FPs for others and keep rolling each day. get out when its crazy (11 am - 3 pm) then return later in the evening.

Here's what Touringplans.com crowd calendar says right now for those days:
15th 3 out of 10
16th 3 out of 10
17th 1 out of 10
18th 2 out of 10
19th 1 out of 10
20th 4 out of 10
21th 8 out of 10
22th 10 out of 10

So, overall it looks not bad. Could get rough near the end of your stay, but the first six days should be great.

Here's what Touringplans.com crowd calendar says right now for those days:
Dec 8 - 2 out of 10
Dec 9 - 4 out of 10
Dec 10 - 1 out of 10
Dec 11 - 1 out of 10
Dec 12 - 2 out of 10
Dec 13 - 3 out of 10
Dec 14 - 6 out of 10
Dec 15 - 3 out of 10

So, crowds won't be bad at all. This happens to be the week that I'll be there, the 7th till the 14th.

We'll be there from the 15th to the 22nd...are they bad then?

Just hit MK early in your visit and you'll be fine. The 15th-18th will be similar to what you had planned previously. After the 18th crowds will start to snowball. By the 22nd stay as far away from the MK as possible, but the other 3 parks should be fine.

You all are angels! I was in a tizzy today when I found out. You all have definitely helped. We will be visiting all four parks during our stay, so as long as we go to MK maybe on the 16th or 17th we'll be fine and won't really have to worry about crowds in the other parks?

Like Disneyhead said above, get MK done on a low crowd day. I'd suggest doing Epcot early on also, though by this time next year things should have calmed down around Test Track.

BTW- I'm going to be at WDW from Dec 7 till Dec 14. I picked that week for the low crowd levels and that the Christmas stuff is all up and running by then. Sorry you weren't able to be there that week, though your week should be great as well.

We were just there from Monday the 17th til Monday the 24th (did not do parks on the 24th). The only crowds we experienced were at MK on Saturday and Sunday the 22nd and 23rd. Even then, the crowds had dispersed by 8:30-9:00 at night. You should be fine, and as stated previously in this thread, hit MK earlier in your trip and you should be fine.
