I finally made reservations!
For our first EVER DISNEY trip!!!!!!!
After months of trying to absorb all the information I could from these boards!
We'll be there 11/23 and the next day (sunday) 11/24 is my husband's birthday?
Any ideas on something special I could arrange for him , either in advance or once we get there?
Thank you so much in advance! :)

Thank you WDWdudette!
I might also mention we'll have our 8 year old son with us ....and I don't want to get a babysitter or anything for him, so it will have to be something he could do too.....I know he would love the sports thing......too.......*sigh* haha....

I'd love to hear more ideas

or if u really love him......lol....a day at The Wide World of Sports.....with Dinner at the ESPN cafe on the boardwalk....thats what made my dad the happiest man alive....

My birthday falls during our WDW trip as well.

Since it's usually the woman's responsibility to get the cake - even if it is HER birthday :brick: I called Disney and got the number for our hotel's bakery. As it gets closer, I'm going to call and order my cake from them.

Pathetic, I know. But at least I'm assured of getting some cake on my birthday. :D

Well since you want to include your son you have to try something that is family friendly. Truthfully I think your son would be happy at one of the activity centers and then you and your husband could go out for the evening.

If you decide to go out alone try the California Grill (contemporary) to celebrate. If you time it right you can watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks while you eat.

If you want to go as a family I suggest the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I have heard that when you mention it a birthday the staff have been known to have fun with the guest of honor.

We went for my husbands bday a few years ago. We went to Chef Mickeys. It was so much fun. We may be adults and don't have kids, but we are just big kids at disney. They had Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Pluto. They have a bday celebration and your son will love it too! I got a cake for my husband. I ordered it when I made our reservations for it. You diffently have to have them.

Chef Mickeys is in the Contempory resort and is a buffet. My husband loved it. They sing and wave napkins in the air.
