this might be in the wrong place but im relating it to the Pep Rally sort of. So I go to Wakefield High in Raleigh, NC. Wake County Public school systems and we just got an announcement from the drama department that Disney will be coming to our school and schools around wake county to audition for a production of High School musical at the same theater that is showing The Lion King on Broadway series south.

link for the broadway series south, but any teens at a wake county school can try out in march for the show.....is this not crazy?

Wow Colin and Brad are doing a improv comedy somewhere. I want to see that.

Back to the subject. I would love to see that come to my high school when I was in high school last year.

Ugh... haha, I personally don't like High School Musical because I think it was poorly written, and the thing itself was definetely made to be a TV Movie, but there are lots of directors out there wanting to do the show for their school. The director at my school laughed at the idea when someone brought it up because in Maryland, we have an Awards Ceremony called the "Baltimore Cappies" and quite frankly, any High School that does a show called "High School Musical" most likely isn't going to get noticed nor nominated, but meh... whatever.

Disney is planning on doing the show in Chicago, I believe. This is how most shows are tried out before they reach Broadway or go on tour. The current Disney Musicals set to hit Broadway are "The Man in the Ceiling" and "The Little Mermaid" which are going to Broadway next year. If High School Musical does well in Chicago *grumble grumble* then yes, you will see it on Broadway, and possibly a tour thereafter.
