HPATFJ Whomping Willow...

The past 2 times I have ridden HPATFJ, the Whomping Willow's arm no longer moved. It really was a let down because when it's not moving it kinda messes up that entire scene. Plus I noticed that when it's stationary you can see the mechanics of the arm. Last I heard it was broken. Any recent updates on this?

Unlike Disney, Universal has a third shift crew dedicated exclusively to show figures. So show problems are typically fixed in a very timely fashion.

While this is true, there always seems to be something that goes wrong on the JP River Adventure. When I was there last week the small Dino's at the beginning weren't moving at all...same with the compys fighting over the shirt. Later on my next ride, the hadrosaur that shoots water out of its nostrils wasn't coming up.

I wish that ride worked right 99% of the time.

Guess you just have bad timing. Haven't seen anything broken since the T-Rex was fixed. Mummy and Spider-Man on the other hand, at least one thing is always broken.

See I've had the exact opposite results. Spidey was perfect and the Mummy has been as well my last five or six visits.

Don't think the AA replacement is going to happen now, but the Treasure Room projector and rotating room projectors are next. ;)

When was the last time you rode it? They addressed this weeks ago. Also just an FYI this was a perfect example as to why rides go down when lighting is tweaked. Show lighting can make or break an attraction and Universal was forced to keep this one open during the installation of Spidermans old projectors. Also any Gringotts effect testing that was done had zero impact on any day side visuals or operations.

Last Saturday... The turntable/launch areas were way brighter then normal ( have been on the ride 10-15 times in the past 2 years so I would know.) and during the coaster segment there were some backstage lighting in the background of the room.

It's definitely brighter than it used to be. It was very noticeable last time I rode it.

I'm looking forward to the upgrades on the ride...but I do hope sometime down the road the Imotep animatronics at upgraded.

I assure you the light leaking in the arena was an isolated incident, and as for the turn table while it's been brighter since the first scarab projector went live it has been adjusted tremendously since then. The recycled Spidey projectors didn't work for that scene so something else is being looked into.

They put Spider-Man's original projectors in Mummy? Why? I wouldn't imagine those are any better than what was already in there.

Rode it Monday the 17th, not working and the 19th it was working

This thing will be the million dollar bunny of Universal, I swear. Friends went and also said it wasn't working. It's an awesome scene but if it's not working it ruins it.
