hows the weather?

flying from the uk next week to wdw, and am having trouble of what to pack!
last time we went in feb 2006 it was freezing and had to buy jumpers.
whats it doing now? is it cold in the evenings? thanks i know theres a weather report here on the site, but wnated some real feedback!

Hot. May is already the start of summer heat here. It doesn't really cool down in the evenings. It just gets less bright. (Which is a relief but not much of a heat relief.) Today is going to be a high of 93F/34C with an overnight low of 71F/22C. And by overnight low, they mean the wee early hours in the morning. It stays warm long after sunset. (At midnight for example, it will still feel like 80F/27C)

So pack light, comfortable and breathable fabrics. And don't forget hats, sunglasses and sunscreen!

(February gets some of the coldest nights of the year - sporadically - but it won't ever get cold enough for sweaters in May.)

thanks , have taken all the sweaters back out of the suitcase now!
i remeber when we went in feb 2006, the disney stores were quick to get the jumpers gloves and wooly hats out! not this time, we will be packing light. thanks

I just got back from spending the day at Epcot and holy cow, it was HOT today. Like, oh yeah that's right. I forgot I try not to go outdoors from May through September kinda hot. *laughs*

February is a crazy month and it can be very comfortable during the day and then plummet when the sun goes down. This time of year there's not a lot of difference between sunup and sundown because everything holds the day's heat for hours.

I know what you mean about it being unexpectedly cold, we went in December one year and went all over looking for gloves and warm tops! I'll never forget shivering for ages waiting for Fantasmic to start-I think that's probably why I don't like it much!

We now go in April or May, and got back last weekend. It was really hot, a couple of the afternoons got unbearably so for a short time but we just went back to our rooms for a shower and rest so it was fine. The evenings were beautiful and we didn't need anything other than t shirt and shorts, although looking at the forecast it is supposed to be cooling down very slightly. We were pleasantly surprised not to have any rain at all.

Oh and its also worth remembering that some of the restaurants have extremely efficient aircon and one or two were a little too cool for my very nesh daughter.
