Being a big fan of "Cinderella" how is the restaurant in the castle?? We really haven't decided whether we will eat there in July. Any help would be great, thanks.

To me the food was very good just the fact I was in the
castle and eating was cool. Even the butter had a Mickey
Mouse in it cool to. The staff was A1 I love it.

I have always been very happy with our experiences at the Royal Table. It's one of our "must do" things when we go! Food is very good, and service has always been excellent for us. I'd highly recommend it... especially if you'll have children with you.

We had never done this before, then last year we got the breakfast for our group of 8! It was sooooo much fun, the food was good, the atmosphere was incredible and everyone did a wonderful job making you feel special! I'd say go for it!

Great

My cousins and I have never had a bad experience at the Royal Table. Our server one year was especially attentive( i was kinda flirting with her). If you want to a food suggestion they have this sliced Prime Rib sandwich served in a puff pastry. Awesome. Every time we go there, I don't even look at the menu, I just get that.

Have eaten lunch here twice. The theming and presentation of the restaurant is great. It is a large place and suitably regal. The service has been great. The CN's are friendly and fun and do a good job. The menu is not really big but there is an okay variety of items. The food is okay but not particularly great. It is not bad but I was hoping for some great flavors and it was not to be.

What about dinner there?

Given that I'll be at the MK for the first time this August (I live in France), should I see Spectro and FitS from the park or should I have dinner at CRT to see FitS?

I need help, 'cos I have to book a priority seating!

Thanks!

Wow Leo, what a choice to have to make. Do you like parades? if so then I would go for Spectro, although I know people say its incredible to see Fits from the castle, we have never done that. With that being said I guess my vote would have to be for seeing spectro & fits from Main street, but we love spectro so I am not esp. unbiased.

I would vote for watching the fireworks and parade from sonewhere in the park. While I am sure seeing the fireworks from Cinderella's is nice the logisitics of getting a priority seating and then getting a table from which you can see the fireworks through the windows would be quite a hassle. Not all of the tables afford a good view out the windows and you can't see the fireworks from everywhere in the restaurant.

from the park

As a fireworks enthusiast and a former guest of CRT. I say this. You DEFINATELY on your first night want to watch Spectromagic and FITS from the park. I am a fireworks nut and let me tell you. In CRT you will only get a view of the fireworks if you have a window seat, PLUS, the fireworks are not nearly as magical without the castle.

My opinion is, you want to see the fireworks from somewhere in front of the castle, not too close though. The fireworks are placed to go off to where they are directly behind the castle ifyou are on main street. It is awesome because the castle changes color and there's nothing like seeing the fireworks blow up all around the castle. It is beautiful and will not be the same without the castle background. Also Spectromagic is a DO NOT MISS event if it's your first time. If you avoid the CRT until the second night and do these things the first night, you'll be VERY happy you did and get twice the magic from it.

Be advised though that Spectromagic is only on certain nights. You will want to check this to make your decision. However, even if it is not happening your first night you're still better off waiting on CRT and watching the fireworks the first night.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone!!!

So, no CRT, at least for our first night! Maybe I'll book it for the second night (after visiting DAK, closing at 5:00pm).
So: SM +FITS on August, 20th, plus CRT on August, 23rd!

Thanks again!

I ate there once with my Disney College Program roommate this past December and we were:

a.) mesmerized by the fact that we were inside Cinderella's Castle
b.) quite satisfied with the food

We went for lunch, and the portions we got were huge! I think I ordered a greek chicken salad and we both got the egg nog smoothies in the Cinderella's Royal Table glass mug keepsake.

I am returning for New Year's this year and I fully intend on going back while I'm down there. Go for it!

What time?

In order to fully enjoy the fireworks at night, what's the perfect time I should book for? (given that in August, FitS begins at 9:30)

7:30? 8:00?

Royal Table

We had a great time at CRT.

We went for a birthday meal as a treat for one of our girls. Our waiter was fab and when he found out it was her birthday he pulled out all the stops.

When he brought out the birthday sundae (complimentary) he got the whole resturant singing happy birthday, it was fab.

Eating the castle is a must do.

I have to agree with this. We were not able to get into the breakfast but dinner was wonderful. And, if you are there at the time of the show in front of the castle you will see some of the characters running past the windows and as we did got to meet Cinderella herself in the lobby when the show was over:king:

Oh my gosh!! Cindy's castle is a must for a 5 year old little girl! We've never done a character meal there, but here is what we do... our running tradition! We usually get a flight to get us into Orlando around 3, and make a ps for around 5 or 5:30 at Cinderella's castle. The girls all dress as the princess of their choice for that trip, and wear the dress all through the airports and the MK so as to get maximum attention. By the time they get to the castle, they are really believing in their princessness! Then of course the waiter/waitress calls them princess, and they are sooo totally happy. And I don't remember who it was... didn't somebody say they didnt like the food? I would have to disagree. We've always been very happy with what we have gotten there. Now, enough of this before I cry over the memories!
