How would you spend your days laid up?

Heading into have sinus surgery on Thursday and just thinking. At that point I will officially be 100 days until we step foot on WDW soil! I should be laid up for at least the weekend. Not able to do much but if the surgery I had last year is any indication, I should be pretty okay by Friday mid day. Give the meds enough time to wear off. Just curious, how would you spend the weekend recuperating?

I am gonna get my maps and my binder full of restaurant menus and lay in bed and watch Disney movies with my daughter. She has been sick too so I am hoping that I can guilt her into actually resting while I am down.

Pick some of your favorite movies and give them a look see. If watching is not an option (I could understand why, when my sinus bother me I don't want to open my eyes, let alone surgery) pop in some of your favorite Disney CD's.

Thanks Figgy! Don't give me a second thought. Enjoy the drive down and the fun of a road trip. I can't wait to hear about the trip when you get back. I've always wanted to go during Star Wars Weekends!

Thanks LuLaSue! I am a little more nervous about this surgery because they are gonna be working super close to my eye socket and there is always a very small chance they could cause damage to the eye. That would really put a damper on my planning and my upcoming trip.

Ohhhh @flynnibus how I miss the days of being able to read a book for myself. My 4 1/2 year old has over 400 books (seriously) and everytime she sees me with a book or my Nook in hand she brings a stack for me to read to her. Reading for me doesn't happen as much as I would like these days.

If its nice out, set yourself up outside and watch your little one play while you listen to Disney music. Sit with your computer and watch Youtube videos of your favorite things at WDW or peruse the disneyfoodblog.com site for any good snacks you might have missed. Even though I've seen so much of it before, there are things I've said I was going to try but forget about. Good luck with the surgery and hope you are up and well before the weekend!

That is a great idea @Pooh Lover! We have a covered porch so it will be nice to get out and sit and relax. And the little one just got an new kiddie pool she has been dying to try out. Have to make sure Hubby blows it up and fills it up for her before he leaves for work Friday morning.

Just my baby girl and the pets. My mom is going out of town with my dad and I wouldn't ask anyone else. If my hubby needs to take off he will. It is his busiest time of year at work (air conditioning) so it is necessary for him to be there most of the time. 12+ hours during week and various times on weekend.
