How to use the search engine?

How do you use the forum search engine here? I click on the search and enter "cheap gas" and click go and it pulls up mainly post from today that have nothing to do with cheap gas. What am I doing wrong?

Did you put it in quotation marks?

As mentioned above, if you want to search for the whole phrase, rather than treating it as 2 separate words, you need to search for "cheap gas" with the quotation marks.
