How to obtain a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance

I’m sorry if this has been asked before and multiple times but I’m new to this and have never asked a question or searched for an answer. When trying to get a boarding group, does each member of the family log into the same Disney experience account or do they create their own? I have been told that everyone in your party can attempt at the same time but not sure if my older teenagers need to have their own account to try or we all can sign into the one we have for the family.
Thank you very much for any help!

1 person can do it for the entire group as long as all the participants are listed on that user's MDE Friends and Family. I think the "everyone can attempt" is a tactic used to attempt at better chances, but I've never done it that way as the other members of my group (that do have their own MDE) aren't as tech savvy.

We need time for things to happen.

When we went this last trip there was six of us. One person held up the phone with the World Clock on it and the other five of us went for the boarding pass.

Landed it every. single. time. ;) We rode it at total of 5 times on our last vacation.

I've noticed more than a few people posting who only did one person trying and didn't have as consistent luck.
Could be a coincidence, but I why not have as many people trying as possible? Can't hurt.

Good luck.

You don’t see what the person’s finger is doing in the video, but you see how the person is pulling down to refresh the ”join virtual queue“ page when it’s close to 7:00am.
Once it hits 7:00am, it‘ll show a “join” button to press, then it goes to your friends and family that are linked (the people in your party who have a Studios pass for that day should be checked off)
Then hit that join button (quickly). Then you should be all set.
But watch for the time on your phone or an apple watch, ipad etc
If you think you have a better connection on LTE/5G as compared to a wifi you’re on then use that.

I ended up with very strong feelings about the whole boarding pass and line situation.

Going into it a year later, I'm hoping for the scenario that worked for us last July: a solid two hours of thunderstorms which cleared the park, including the lines of the boarding groups before us who had been standing idly for hours.

Also to answer what I think was your question, if you're looking to use the tactic of having everyone try at the same time, then "Yes" everyone needs to have their own MDE account.

One of the most vital things is to be ready to pounce at EXACTLY... EXACTLY at 7am. So having the exact timing is crucial. It doesnt sound like a second off might matter but it does. Trying to join seconds after 7am and you are out of luck. DS used his apple watch which was exact on time and we had no problem getting several boarding groups over our trips to DHS.

While true, I'd be more wary of the unpredictable MDE app getting confused at a critical moment with multiple accesses under the same login. Personally I'd feel safer with individual logins all trying to book for the group.

Fair enough. And I always advocate everyone having their own MDE account when they’re old enough anyway.

However that hasn’t been reported as being an issue, I know plenty of people who have their family managed by them who all log on and managed to get a BG.

The main thing is to know the process and practice, practice, practice. Although you obviously can’t get right the way through, you can practice the “countdown” and hitting join. Just remember that you don’t stop to check or select your group when doing it for real, just smash the join button as fast as you can. Younger fingers often work best, I’m told!

Hey now! These old decrepit digits got the boarding pass 2 out of 5 times our group tried!

At the Beach Club the WiFi was so weak we had to go out on the balcony to get service . At Art of Animation - Nemo Suite - we had no WiFi at all so I guess it depends on where you are staying. Disney needs to improve their WiFi as Beach Club and Boardwalk have had problems for years.
