How to make the SM retheme work at WDW

What if Disney makes a New Orleans Square type area for Frontierland starting at the Riverboat Dock and ending at Splash Mountain? I present my ideas for New Orleans Street. The architecture is similar to the French Quarter. The attractions here are Going Down The Bayou With Tiana, The Country Bears, and Rafts To Barataria Island. TSI is redone to be themed to the notorious LA pirate, Jean Lafitte. It is a less IP driven clone of Pirates Lair at Disneyland. The restaurants are Cafe Orleans and Tiana’s Palace. Tiana’s Palace, a sit down, is the replacement to Gilded Horseshoe, and Cafe Orleans, a window service, is the former Mile Long Bar part of Pecos Bill’s. To the right of Tiana’s, there is an alley that leads to Dr Facilier’s Voodoo Emporium. This is a Savi’s type shop in which an employee of the doctor’s, dressed in his suit but with a fascinatior if female, leads guests in creating either A.) A talisman similar to the one on Facilier’s Necklace, B.) A mask similar to the giant horned mask he displays, or C.) A Mystical Staff, similar to Facilier’s cane. The talisman is made by putting the mouth on the top of the head. It has a button effect where the eyes glow red as drums play. The mask is an assembly required work of plastic. The two horns and the lower jaw go on the head. The effect is a button being pressed, causing it to project shadow demons from the eyes. The Cane, plastic ball on plastic rod, projects lavender and lime fireworks, similar to the end of Friends On The Other Side while the song, beginning with Are You Ready, plays. To the left of Tiana’s Palace, a replica of The Cabildo Building stands. This is Thieves Market, the second one stop shop for all things POTC. In front of Thieves Market, Lafitte’s Anchor stands. To the market’s left, the Country Bears stand, and then, the Riverboat Dock. Three black steeples stand atop Thieves Market, giving the illusion of St Louis Cathedral. The Old Gore Manor stands at the end of New Orleans Street, Facilier’s Alley being to its left. It is based on this iconic watercolor concept of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion

There are no boards on the windows so guests can see the pirate ghost silhouettes dancing through the halls. There is a small cemetery to the right with mausoleums. Big Thunder is obscured by an artificial tree. The Briar Patch is replaced with Lagniappe Trinkets, an open air shop themed to The French Market, with stalls for shirts and hats, toys, food and drink, and the Cashier. Spanish Moss dangles from all the trees.

This pretty much destroys Frontierland to make a New Orleans area. Big Thunder Mountain would feel out of place. Not to mention, Pecos Bill's Cafe would have to be redone, even though it is difficult when its arcitecture and style of Spanish revival tends to transition to Adventureland. Pirates of the Caribbean things outside of its designated area would just complicate things. Country Bear Jamboree doesn't fit well in New Orleans. I'm sorry, but I don't think that this would work.

1.) Princess And The Frog has a colorful cast of talking animals, therefore CBJ fits in.
2.) Pecos Bill turns into Cafe Orleans
3.) I am reusing ideas, such as New Orleans Square’s original place in Frontierland, Captain Gore, and Thieves Market.
4.) Read the post again. I address the problem of BTMR.

Magic Kingdom really is so lop-sided. Big Thunder and Splash right next to each other, and now Space and tron. as well.

It’s funny the park with less space and options for building seems better laid out and set up even after all the expansions.

1. Just because two things share the common thread of talking animals doesn't mean they fit in.
2. You can't just turn Pecos Bill into Cafe Orleans, because it would be weird going in from Tortuga Tavern and having the similar design suddenly change.
3. Maybe this would work if there already was some New Orleans presence in the park, but there isn't. New Orleans may work in some Frontierland-type area, maybe, but not this one. There's not enough room for it.
4. Hiding Big Thunder Mountain with a tree doesn't help anything. It just separates the last "real" Frontierland attraction with NOS.

I’ll just leave this here since it’s appropriate for the topic here.
I admit, @NateD1226's choice of GIF helped inspire this idea. But I think I could make it work for the game.

Tiana's Palace

In the wake of Splash Mountain's transformation into a Princess and the Frog-themed ride, the Imagineers decided to expand upon the presence of Tiana and the gang by turning Pecos Bill Café into Tiana's Palace, the restaurant that Tiana worked her whole life towards getting.

In this elaborate, two-story restaurant, we can enjoy the delicious tastes of New Orleans -- including Tiana's famed "man-catching beignets" -- as we enjoy quite the dinner show. Tiana's not only got some of the best cooking skills in all the Magic Kingdom, but she's also got a great set of pipes, too. Not only that, Naveen can play the ukulele like no one's business, and naturally, they are friends with a certain trumpet-playing gator. Of course, Tiana's best friend, Charlotte La Bouff, appears here, as well. Ah, but that's not all. Tiana and Naveen have brought along a new friend to join them: Lightning Laurent, a young Black man from the streets of New Orleans, so named because when he tap-dances, his feet move lightning quick!

As for the old saloon that marks the entrance to the Pecos Bill Café, well, back in the early days of the Magic Kingdom, that was home to the Mile Long Bar, while Pecos Bill Café was exclusively in the Spanish-inspired building. With the arrival of Tiana's Palace, the saloon once again becomes home to the Mile Long Bar, now under the ownership of Pecos Bill.

1. Bar Louis, they are not as humanized as the CBJ cast.
2. Fine. But it’s a shame we’re burying package features even futher (which is realistic to what Disney has been doing since the mid 90s)
3. Cool!
4. Okay.

OK. I think y’all need to learn that The French Quarter is actually Spanish. That’s right! The Spanish rebuilt it after fires in the model of Havana, Cuba.

I thought Pecos was a Silly Symphony, but I think I can solve this problem.

OK. After a little bit of thought, I’ve made a minimal version. So, there’s this little courtyard in Frontierland that conveniently stands next to Splash Mountain!

So, Tiana’s Palace stays along with Facilier’s and the French Quarter buildings, but everything beyond 27 is Frontierland, along with anything to Splash Mountain’s right, except for POTC. POTC is Adventureland.

Maybe read my minimal take.

Just retheme the courtyard. That could make an easier fix.
Easy and budget-friendly solution IMO.
Just keep the NOLA retheme behind the Frontierland Railroad Station and retheme those building back there to PATF merch and food.
That way Frontierland stays Frontierland, we'd just have to accept we can see Mama Odie's Tree from all over the park. I'm sure they can transition us from NOLA to the bayou in the queue.

My worst fear is Disney goes the even cheaper route and we have Bob trying to justify how the bayou belongs in Frontierland somehow. I can already see them just keeping the existing rustic look in the courtyard and throwing signs that say "bayou" over it. "Tiana opened a shop and restaurant in the bayou" blah blah, I'd rather have a NOLA mini-land.

True but the French still had many influences once they bought it back. Many of the roofs & added third floors you see today around Jackson Square were added on top of the existing Spanish buildings.
NOLA was always ahead of it's time as even the architecture seem to have a mix of culture haha.

They're definitely making it, even though many, many people don't want them too. So there's only one thing that makes sense now. They need to make a New Orleans section to the left, with a place to get some beignets.

You know the true reason why I want it! Maybe Floridians can learn what Cafe Du Monde is!
They're so good! I just got back from NOLA Monday for my third visit and brought 7 bags of beignets for my coworkers and myself.
No regrets carrying that big bag back to California! lol
