And without getting the shuttle from SeaWorld - it sets off too late for our liking!

Can I just ring up a company like Mears? Any ideas how much this would cost?

Nope. The only thing you can do is call a cab and that will be a pretty penny.

It's about 80 miles each way from Shamu's house to the home of Sheikra.

Try some limo places here in town. They might be able to give you some sort of deal.

Hmmmph!

Well I think we may have to opt fot the shuttle then, it's a shame it doesn't set off earlier, I feel like by the time we get there we'll suffer from the queues that will have built up.

Is there any reasons besides the fact that you're probably just not renting a car for your entire trip that you'd not consider getting one for just that day?

There are plenty of rental companies with good rates that will either come pick you up, or drop the car off, or what have you. A single day for a rental car really can be quite cheap.

We could look into it, I'm not sure my bf really wants to drive over there, and I've not driven in over 3 years so I'd probably be too scared! :ROFLOL:

Busch Gardens Shuttle Express

Now it’s easier than ever to experience Busch Gardens’ wildlife and wild rides via the Busch Gardens Shuttle Express for only $10 per person for a round trip from Orlando. The service is always free with the purchase of a 5-Park Orlando FlexTicket! For pick-up times and locations, call 1-800-221-1339.

Thanks, the trouble with this is it doesn't set off until after 9am.

Does anyone know if the shuttle is also still free with a Busch Gardens / Sea World combined ticket?

I would see if Quicksilver Towncar might be able to pick you up and take you to Busch Gardens. It won't be cheap, but it'll be less than a taxi. It doesn't take that long to get to Tampa.

Shuttle is free if you have the gold pass, but I agree it doesn't give enough time in the park. It gets you there after 10:30 AM and leaves before closing. If you just want to ride a few coasters it might be a sort day park but if you want to see and do it all it takes more time.

We go to BG often and would never see or ride everything in that short a time. To ride the coasters, see a few of the shows, take the train, skyride, and Rhino ride in the animal areas takes planning and time. Then I would never by-pass the Chimp area or the Africa areas that you can walk through to see the animals. You have to sit on the deck and get your free sample of beer and if you have never been maybe even do beer school. Even my kids loved seeing how the plant makes and bottles the beer( first factory in operation for them to see assembly lines etc) .

And we never ever go to BG without eating at the Colony House so we can sit on the deck or at a window table and watch the giraffes etc.
We are usually there from opening till close and have never been able to see and do everything in a day . During summer they have summer nighhts with bands or entertainment of some type around the park, too.

In your case I would rent a car or maybe even rent a limo to get over there and back. The other thing that has occurred to me.....Could you take the shuttle one morning. Spend the night in a motel across the street from BG( not the greatest hotels but doable) and then return on the next days evening shuttle back to Orlando? Anyone know if that is possible?
