Go through absolutely every restaurant and entertainment options on the website! Even if you don't plan to do many 'extras', it's still fun to see what's out there. And maybe you'll stumble upon a gem or two to try this trip!

Listen to Disney parks music!

YouTube, forums, schedule ADRs, make a loose touring plan, saving spending money for the trip, listening to WDW music on Live365----then at some point I just let go because if I don't, I'll have nightmare about all the things that could go wrong!

The anticipation is akin to a child waiting for Christmas. Unfortunately, so is the feeling one gets after it's over.

While waiting, I listen to Disney music, the old and the new. When I'm outside I would say to myself that this would be a great afternoon to be at Magic Kingdom, I also follow Disney news, forums and constantly be on the look out for any changes, no matter how small. For example, did you know that Dole Whip is now being served at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Animal Kingdom?

I've always found that the more one looks the more little surprises that are out there. Good luck and have fun while even while waiting!

I'm a Fatty Mc Fatty so I obsessively look at the food blogs! There's a great food picture of the day thread on here that I was constantly looking at. I read menus and reviews of restaurants. It kept me away from looking at park pictures and videos, because I wanted some element of surprise there.

If you're crafty, pinterest has some great DIY countdown clocks to make. We made a simple one and right next to it we put a piggy bank. Every time we pulled another day off the calendar, we put a dollar or two in the piggy. By the end of it we had almost $300 spending cash for the trip.

Happy planning!

There's 2 paths: start with what parks you want to go to and then fill in the ADRs based on location OR think of what ADRs you want to make and then figure out what parks you'll be at on what days. I usually do the second method :)

Then, once you figure out ADRs, you put together a spreadsheet itinerary. You can start thinking of what FP+s to book on each day.

And, you can waste a whole lotta time on here talking and hypothesizing and venting :D:p

Plan or not to plan is the question? Make yous ADRs. Plans which parks you are interested in visiting and which rides you would like to accomplish and rides you would like to skip. Plan yous fast pass +. If your taking a camera, pull it out and practice some day shots, action shots and nights shots just to make sure every thing is working correctly.

Lol you'll just have to wait it out! :) Watch some videos of the rides, watch some Disney movies, do whatever you have to do to keep yourself occupied. And make sure nothing happens that will interfere with your trip.

I know how you feel. The wait is a killer and we have a little over 3 months to go. Here are a few things that we do.............
1) Watch our home video of last years trip.
2) Watch some Extinct Attractions/Jeff Lange type of dvds
3) Watch the Disney classics..........live action and animated.
4) Play boardgames like The Haunted Mansion version of Life. Still need to get the classic Lakeside HM game.

We are a wee bit under 5 months too! I've been booked for a few months on top of that LOL I look forward to my 180 day (after combing thru menus to prepare ADRs!) Definately visiting WDWMAGIC every day, reading trip reports, checking out dining reviews, pics of the day, etc... Youtube videos, Disney movies, listening to Disney Parks music, considering new experiences (such as horse back riding, carriage rides, private Illumination Cruise, etc) for our upcoming trip all help with my Disney obsession. I know exactly how you feel!! Unfortunately I wish the summer away, because we always visit in the Fall!! Hang in there, before you know it, you will be hearing "Welcome Home"!!!!!

We're going back in September and January and we talk about it all the time. I enjoy reading trip reports, playing the Innoventions Loop music and watching each Friday on the calendar become one week closer. Time has a way of getting away and before you know it, it's here and your there and before you know it....your back home. Enjoy the anticipation of your forthcoming trip!

It's hard and nothing compares, I like to read trip reports. 5 months isn't bad I had a baby last year and my trip in Sept will be 19 months since the last time I was there and its been TORTURE!
