going to Universal first time in July. I have 3 day park to park pass. And one "free" day with nothing planned. Curious can you walk up to seaworld or water park and get tickets that day? Not really sure what to do with this extra day. We are planning on just hanging around the hotel the day we arrive so this free day is the day before we leave

Are you staying on-site? If so, swim, hotel hop, consider the luau (I've never done it, but sounds fun), dive-in movies, city walk, mini golf, etc etc. Also, consider upgrading to a 4 day pass. We did that once and didn't cost much.

Have a blast!!!

Seaworld is too far to walk. If you are staying on property, Uni hotels have a shuttle to both Seaworld and Wet 'n Wild.

As BrianV mentioned, there is lots to do on property. Also, bowling and lazy river at CBBR.

Where are you staying? we always like a day of sitting at the pool, afternoon at CW- lunch maybe, and just strolling around the parks. When the boy is not with us, we could sit at Chez Alcatraz, Duff, or Hogshead for hours and people watch. On the other hand, Sea World is great- if you go, you MUST feed the Sea Lions, they are hilarious :D

Staying at sapphire falls. Kids don't know they are going yet. Going to surprise them with the trip

Are you doing three days at Universal then it's the fourth you were considering an alternative? That's definitely a good idea. There's plenty to do in Universal over three days if you haven't been there, but you won't miss much by going elsewhere on the fourth. I definitely recommend Sea World, it has the best rollercoasters, most unique wildlife attractions and is a very pleasant, crowd light experience compared to other parks.

Sapphire Falls provides a free shuttle bus to Sea World, so while it's not walkable you won't have need to pay for transport, but times are limited so you may want to book a Mears shared ride or Uber instead if the timetable doesn't fit in, but should be quite straight forward.
