how old is snow white supposed to be?

How old is Snow White supposed to be? My wife says shes a young girl, but I say shes a young adult. I figure that shes old enough to go off with a prince and get married. I have searched several places and cant find any reference to her age. Its easier with cinderella and sleeping beauty. any thoughts?

Snow white is about 13 or 14 years old, according to the traditional stories. It shows in the Disney animation to... she looks vastly younger than any other princess.

I can't recall where, but I think I read that she is about sixteen or seventeen in the film.

The young age of the princess characters, especially in the original German texts, reflects the social mores of the times. She was indeed a child. However, most women were when married off.

DOH!!! i guess i loose the discussion with my wife. And a little weird since I thought Snow White was my favorate princess (is that weird for a guy to say?) but now i have to rethink that
