We are planning on Dec 4-10 MK 2 days then Epcot,HS and AK. POP warner starts on Dec 7th. Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with it being overly crowded etc. We are staying in AOA.

I'll be at AoA from the 7th till the 14th.
The Pop kids are not staying at AoA.
Everything I've read on here says that Pop doesn't affect the parks much. The only concern would be staying at one of the resorts they are using.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
We go that time frame every trip and never have noticed the parks being affected or more crowded on those days that PW is there. Still lower crowds and no unruly large groups. We will be there 12/5-12/15 again this year. So don't worry much about it affecting your trip. Also it's a plus you have a car..we prefer a car to using the busses any day! Lol. Much quicker and you don't have to be crowded on a bus with all your belongings and every one else's belongings! Lol :)

I have stayed at mostly Premium resorts during PW and never have an issue with the kids at the resorts. I always hear that the All-Star resorts are the victims of PW. Also i really didnt notice a annoying presence at the Parks during their stay. Maybe i am just lucky and somehow avoid them.

Thank you. Hopefully it will be quite at night at the resort. I was just worried about teens with bad language around my little ones on lines waiting for rides etc.....right now my kids think stupid is a really really bad word!

If you're not staying at a host resort (All-Star, Pop, Caribbean, Coronado) then you won't see a whole lot of impact. Hey are competing mostly during the day and the. Spread themselves amongst the parks so they're just like any other guests.

About the worst you might get is some overzealous cheerleaders in a queue.

I can guarantee this happening. Happened to us on our final Haunted Mansion ride one night. We simply asked to be held back til the next stretching room cycle and the CMs had no problem doing that.

Other than that the Pop folks weren't too bothersome. Of course that was in 2009 so thing could have gotten worse.

It depends. I have been there with them and not noticed them, until the evil repetitive chanting and clapping in the lines started. Other than that, and the fact the 50 of them might run into a queue in front of you..well, you get the picture.
We learned to switch parks if there was a lot of them -
Before everyone yells that I am picking on them-it isn't for the "pop warner" factor- but for the fact that large groups of kids, with few chaperones,(and some chaperones who think they are on a vacation, and don't have a job) make for a rambunctious time.
We also almost missed a flight time because of a large group of them on our plane, and the refusal to sit down and behave.
If they were staying at my hotel, I would absolutely move.

We were there last December. Our trip ended up including Pop Warner. One of the grand sons team Bedford Bulldogs from Bedford, NH won their regional game and got the invitation to Disney the same time we had planned to take them there. The football teams have to stay at either All Star sports or Caribbean beach. We did not see any problem with the football players at any of the parks. They have special buses that take them down to ESPN. At the same time there are cheerleader competitions and dance compositions and they stay at some of the other resorts. I had more problem with they. They had more of a tendency to travel in large groups.

We went last year during Pop and we also stayed at AoA. They were not at AoA. I did see small groups at various parks (groups of 20 or less). Every group we encountered were well-behaved, no chanting or obnoxious behavior, and each group had at least 2-3 chaperones with them. During this same trip we also encountered two South American tour groups. One had about 150 kids in it and one person with a flag. They were awful - chanting loudly and doing some dance where they would suddenly stop walking and then back up into people. I saw people complaining about them as they were chanting so loudly that it was disrupting the Candlelight Processional. We left the park when we saw them. I felt so bad for the people trying to see and hear the CP. The other group was at MK and it had families and tour guides. They were all well-behaved and pleasant to ride rides with at the same time.
