We are staying at caribbean beach for the first 3 days of our stay. We will be going to MK, AK and hollywood studios one each day. When it comes to vacations i am a planning finatic. I am just curious as to how much time it would take to get the bus to go to each resort -- this is considering that we would be going first thing in the morning after breakfast --- so i'd say sometime after 8am. We ahve some FP reservations for 9:15 at a couple of parks so i just want to make sure that i allot enough time to grab a bite to each and then catch the bus to the parks.

If you are at the bus stop between 8-8:15 each morning, you should arrive by park opening. That is our goal time for any resort with morning bus service. You never know how long it will take for a bus to show up, so the earlier you get to the stop, the better.

I agree, but you also have to consider you might have to wait up to 20 minutes for a bus. When we were there last April, we almost always had to wait 15 to 20 minutes. Also, be careful where you catch your bus, since there are multiple stops and it can become full quickly! I remember from another thread that the buses start in Jamaica for all parks, except for MK where it starts in Martinique.

The short answer: too long. On our one and only stay on WDW property in a non-deluxe resort, we chose Caribbean Beach. Needless to say, we won't be going back there - for multiple reasons, one of which is the long wait with their bus transportation. The problem is that there are multiple buildings within this resort, which means multiple bus stops for picking up riders (when you're trying to get somewhere) and dropping off (when you're returning and trying to get back to your own building). Because they have their internal system to work through before they head out to the parks or other destinations, the time it takes to get to the various parks is longer than it should be. You may see signs posted saying the buses come every 20 minutes, and assuming that they do (which they generally don't), then you're likely to have the bus stop 2-3 times at various stops around the resort before they head out to your destination. And at each stop the whole process could take 3-4 minutes as people get on or get off the bus.

You know what's funny?
You will be fine. Just give yourself a bit extra time if you are worried. I just stayed there in October in the Jamaica building and had no problem with transportation. Delays were minimal, if any. 95% of time I never waited longer than the standard posted times.

Must be tough in a non disney resort.

When I was at the reservation center we were directed to tell everybody to plan for a hour for travel times. This is because buses officially run every 20 minutes. The other part of it as shown above that sometimes buses are full and you have to wait for another bus before you can get on. Sometimes at park opening and closing they will send additional buses through the area. I also used to drive buses and I can attest to the buses are always full in CB and we almost always had to say sorry to families.

Is there a better building section to stay in at Caribbean beach where you might catch the bus before it fills up?

Stayed there last fall. Allow at least an hour but it could be longer. A couple times it took us an hour and a half to get to/from MK and AK. It won't make that much of a difference what stop you're on; might be slightly faster going in to certain parks but slower coming home, and vice versa. Nice resort, though!

I would add that those times are after you leave the resort. You can easily spend 15 minutes on a bus before even leaving CBR's grounds.
