I was just wondering, does anybody know how much land Disney bought for the DLP dite? WDW is approx 47 sq. miles, how big is the Paris site. I have noticed that the resorts are very close togther compared to WDW. Is there space for another park or two?

Cheers

There is significant space for expansion of the current parks, and the addition of a third park and more resorts. I believe 3 parks is the limit though. :)

While travelling from PO to DTD on the boat, the captain informed us that Disney had promised never to develop more than 50% of the land purchased to create WDW.

In fact the third park will be located where it's written "to disneyland Golf", new hotels will be erected on the south of Newport Bay Club (near the lake). On the left, the land is dedicated to the new city Val d'Europe, the expa, nsion of Disney Village and an aquatic park.

The site of Disneyland Resort Paris is 9.15 square miles (the picture you see in one of the reply's is only half the site).
After WDW, Disneyland Resort Paris is the biggest theme park resort in the world.
Disney also has an agreement with the French Government that it can buy an aditional 18.3 square miles. So eventually the size of DLRP could become +/- 27.5 square miles.
