How much does the Dreamaker Basic cost?

AkiraRaptor

Meega, nala kwishta!
I'm tring to get the actual cost of the Dreamaker Basic per night, per person. I know it changes a bit depending upon the resort you choose, but there must be an average set cost somewhere.

I know the extra plans add on to this (Silver $68, Gold $138, Platinum $199) but I want to figure out the real cost of my trip, and I'm missing this number.

So far I'm coming up with between $55-$112 a night per person. Thats to big of a difference to work with.

Any help??

Ok, that helps.

I used Disney's site to help work out the number. I came up with a $1699.90 price for room and DM basic, I don't know why it was less. It was $963.36 for room only. So it looks like DM costs about $61.38 per person per night.

I did this for AKL, and came in at $61.44. Close enough, that could be because of slight taxing differences between the resorts. I know AKL is in a different tax area.

We are staying for 7 nights, so I used the same technique, and the number comes in at $57.21 a night. This makes sence since the ticket prices should be less (discounted) the more days you add. So we would be paying $400.41 per person for our length of stay passes (8 days/7 nights) that normaly cost $358 (or even cheaper if you pre-pay). But the plan does come with a few free items. So it comes out about even or close to it. So I think my numbers are close.

So to recap, it looks like for a 6 night stay the DM cost $61, and for a 7 night stay $57. I think I will go with these numbers unless someone sees a flaw in my logic here.

So the real cost of a 7 night stay of Silver is $124 per person per night, and Gold is $196.

Thanks for your help.

 :hammer: Yea, I know...but I was working out my schedules in Excel today, and started getting into the numbers game. I just couldn't help myself from working this stuff out.

I did figure out that if you got the gold package, ate aprox $75 of food a day ($20 breakfast, $15 lunch, $40 dinner), and did Circque and 3 tours, the gold still would cost me about $240 more than paying for it myself. (BTW, the silver would cost me about $70)

I'd really like to do the gold, it was nice on the silver having everything pre-paid. I didn't have to worry about money on the whole trip. Got what I wanted, never thought about price, not even once. But I'm having a hard time working out the worth on this one. I guess if I do some of the free water sports activites...I haven't rode on a water mouse since I was about 15..are they still super slow, or are they like real jet skis now?

I hate golf, so that's out, not a horse back rider. I could use the gym at night or the morning. I just can't see wasting away $240 x 2 people on gold.

I'll keep crunching the numbers....I'll report back Yellow Shoes, just for you...
