How many shares does Roy have?

Does anyone know how many shares Roy Disney and his family own of the WDC? I know Eisner personally owns about 1.5% of the outstanding shares, not including shares owned by his family members and the Eisner Foundation, a not-for-profit chairty.

I think I read that he had 17 million? But I could be WAY off on that.
And if they oust Eisner, Eisner will get an extra bonus of 6 million $ worth of shares, which makes him the largest private stockholder... technically speaking in control of the company (stock wise) except that he wouldn't be CEO...

Roy Disney held 17.3 million shares of Disney and was the 17th-largest shareholder as of August, 2003. He and his family trust agreed in August to sell 43 percent of their stake, or about 7.5 million shares.

Roy now has 9.8 million shares. However, he still retains his voting rights for 5 years on the other 7.5 million shares. So, vote wise, he still has 17.3 million! At this time, Roy and his family members are no longer ranked as major shareholders.

Hmm...that is interesting...so, in theory, he could stop Comcast's bid? That kinda seems like an odd setup. A former CEO still having so much power. Let's say he is asked to leave, is bitter about it, and sells his shares to Comcast? Would that give Comcast leverage?

Maybe I am overthinking this too much? :hammer:

So, what percentage of the outstanding shares would that make? And how does that compare with Eisner's shares?
