I searched and couldn't find anything on this.
Hi everyone. I just have a few quick questions for you.

1) How many people can be in each park before they have to close for everyone?

2) How many poeple work at WDW?

3)About how much money does WDW make in one day?

Any other neat info would be much appreciated!

That is way to high. MK's capacity is actually a good bit less than 100,000. For a number of reasons specific information is not allowed to be released to the public. Its also important to understand that there is not one magic number that is a given parks max capacity. For one thing there are phases of closing. For example the parks close to day guest, annual pass holders and resort guests at different attendance numbers. Resort guests are the last to be shut out. And lastly the parks capacities are fluid, in other words they change. There are a number of different factors to determine how many people will be allowed in. One of the (many) reasons attractions like WoL open over the holidays is to increase the parks maximum capacity.

As for cast members, there are well over 50,000 who actually work for the Walt Disney Company. However when you included everyone (operating participants such as Kodak, Swan/Dolphin, many Downtown Disney locations etc…) the number is much higher. I have no official number but I hear it's around 70,000 in total that work on the property.

What about Epcot?
Its the same procedure with all four parks. Obviously they all have different capacities. As I stated earlier specific information about the parks capacity numbers is not supposed to be released to the public. All I stated was that MK's no where near 250,000.

google it, or it should say on the park map!
Nope. It doesn't say it on the park maps. (Why do you think it should anyway). And while you will find info if you google it, I assure you those numbers are not 100% accurate, and in most cases not even close.

MK usually starts closing in phases after about 45,000. I've known it to close the turnstiles at about 55-60,000.

There are over 57,000 Cast Members employed by Walt Disney World. We're the largest single-site employer anywhere in the world. ;)

Number vary of course, but folks in-the-know have said with all areas operating at max capacity, MK tops out at around 85k and Epcot can go up to 120k. These two numbers are never realized, because it would be a horrible experience, but rather lower numbers are cut-off points. Each attraction out of service or closed restaurant can drop your capacity by several thousands, plus Fastpass puts fewer people in queues, so again lower numbers are used as cut-offs.

MS Jim, I think you're numbers are low because average daily at MK was 44k in 2005. The park didn't run that close to capacity often in 2005 - for example we know there were days down around 20k, so for it to average out, it would need to be higher. Admittedly, not everyone who counts for the day is in the park at once, but i think 65-70k sounds right for a phase closing.

Well, per room guest spending at WDW is roughly $199.

Occupancy was 83% of 8,777(x1000) available room nights. That gives us 7,284,910 room nights occupied. At 199 per room.. for total revenue of $1,449,697,090 divided by 365 days in a year.. for $3,971,772 just from the resorts at WDW.

9 Billion is the total Disney Parks/Resorts revenue for 2005. There's too much math to figure out WDW's share, but 1/6 cam from WDW resorts(hotels), so I assume the parks make an even more sizeable chunk of change.
