How many days at Disneyland?

I'm thinking about planning a trip for 2013 to Disneyland and I've never been. Is a week enough time to do everything? Too much time? Not enough? Thanks!

Before DCA 2.0 I would have said five days but now that DCA is now worthy of sitting across from Disneyland, I'd say a week sounds perfect!

We just got back from a six day park hopper at DL. Carsland was not open yet, but I think we could have still done it all in 6. It was very congested crowd wise due to grad nights and the last few days of non blacked out dates for local passes, but most major attractions were 60 minutes or less and we fastpassed a lot.

Also budget more for food. About two dollars more for a counter service burger and fries than WDW as an example.

I'm really bummed Disney did away with the 6 day hopper. We're taking our 1st trip to Disneyland next summer, and I wanted to spend a full week there. I hate that they only sell a 5 day or annual pass.

We actually got the hopper by booking it through The Disney Travel Company. Now, we did that prior to their ticket changes I believe, but we did add a fifth person to the package after we arrived.

Thanks! We're hoping to book a September 2013 trip (when our DVC points allow) and are planning on staying for 5 days. Hopefully that'll do! So excited to see all of the new things!!!!
