How many attractions in a day?

Just a thought here. I was reading the other week and saw that the average person who visits WDW see about 11 attractions a day while they are there.:lookaroun My boss says this number is way to low for him.:veryconfu I say it sounds about right. What are your thoughts??

we go to WDW so often that our favourite thing to do is people watch (and eat:lol: ) We don't like standing in lines and if there is a line we just tell ourselves that we'll catch that ride some other time. This might skew your results, but i thought you'd like to know! :slurp:

Way more than 12 easily. And that's including park hopping, and doing Rock N Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror multiple times in a row (only counting each as 1).

Hold on, it depends on the park... at AK, EPCOT, or Disney Sudios I may not do as many attractions. At MK or IoA I do a lot more. At SeaWorld and Universal it depends on the crowds.

Spidey is right, it depends on the park and on how busy it is. But I'd say more than 12, since we have a limited time to stay there and much to do.

A lot of it depends on the time of year. We spent our last day of vacation in early October hopping to all four parks and having plenty of time at the end of the day and resting at Epcot for ToD and Illuminations. This was after we hit everything at the other parks we wanted to do--way more than 12 things.

The other thing that can also play a part in how many attractions you see it who is with you. For example children.:brick:

Lord, there are days there where you can ride Space Mountain 12 times in an hour. On a typical day, though.....it just depends on the park you're going to. At Epcot, for example, you can spend 40 minutes on U of E, and 40 minutes on HISTA, and 30 at the Living Seas, and then an hour or two at Innoventions....it just depends.

There are so many varaibles when it comes to a poll like this :-
How long you spend in the park,
How long the park is open for,
How busy the park is,
How long do you spend waiting in lines (or do you use fastpass),
What about meal breaks, toilet breaks etc, etc,
The ages of your party - toddlers who insist on walking, elderly who insist on walking,
Those who must just visit every shop you pass,
Or,
Just yourself - determined, organised, knowledge of park layouts etc, etc.

PS - we usually manage in excess of 12 when we visit.

We are rather aggressive with our schedule. We get to the parks before they open and don't leave until after they close. Over the years, we have developed an attraction sequence and park hopping strategy that works well for us. As a result, we do many more than 12 attractions in a day.

After furthur consideration and rereading your question... I think you asked the wrong people. :lol: We are fanatics at heart and generally know the parks, times, crowds, and tactics much better than the "average" person. You will not get an acurate reading from here, however if you were just interested to see what we Disney-holics do on average then you will propably find (with the exception of "watchers") the poll will heavily lean to the above 12 side.

It all depends on the type of visit I am making.

For example on my way to the Disney Cruise I stopped at DisneyWorld because I have some very old tickets that have never been used. So I traded one in and went into the park not realizing it was closing in two and a half hours. Given that is was a very off-peak time of year for vacations, I was able to get a lot done.

Space Mountain, Alien Encounter, Buzz Lightyear, The Carousel, Peter Pan, Big Thunder, Splash Mountain, Pirates of The Carribean, The Jungle Cruise, and saw the fireworks. So that works out to 10 attractions in under three hours. Now that much during a busy time of year would take the better part of an entire day.

However if I am there for an extened period of time on an annual passport, it is rare that I do more then 3 or 4 attractions at once. There were many times when me and my brother would walk into a park wnating to ride one ride, see the line was too long, and just leave.

I'd have to say 12 or more easily! But it also depends on when you're visiting!

I did mean this post to go to Disneyholics. I wanted to see if there were any differances in opinion...as far as knowing the ins and outs. I would like to think I some of them being there 13 times and counting. The one thing that seems to be happening to me is the more I go the slower I get. It seems like between my children and the times that I have been down. I just need to soak it all in!:slurp: I voted 11 but I am not really sure.:brick: Maybe it is 12 or over for me too???
I will make an effort to notice this time for sure and let you all know in my trip report.

It does make a difference. I always go into the parks by myself (unless meeting family for a dinner), and I know plenty of "quick" ways around, and usually walk fairly fast (my long legs can't help it). I always go the same time of year, so I pretty much know how the crowds are going to work and how the lines at different times of the day, and in different parks, are going to work.

I jump back and forth between Magic Kingdom, Epcot and MGM all day long. Then go to Pleasure Island until 1 or 2 in the morning. :lol:

Going solo to the parks allows me to easily visit all 4 parks in one day and see and experience every attraction I want at least once, if not more.....

All of my trips have been in the fall and we were easily able to do all the attractions at all the parks. 12 plus. We do, however, split Epcot into two days.

WOW, 11 a day, that's all. I can get to all four parks in one day.

I don't know exactly for me. I live in Iowa, but I am down there for a week everytime we go. I would say I go on about 20 attractions aday. I know that might seem like a lot, but it really doesn't seem like it
