How long until the next giant plastic icon takeover?

The first question I ask is... How long will it be until WDW gets a brand new giant plastic whatever to take over a Disney park logo?

My next question is... What do you believe it will be?

I'm personally waiting for the Tree of Life to become a giant version of the tree with the purple dangly things in the Avatar movie.. I'M CALLING IT!

Never, but I'm hoping the icons get some kind of nice overlay for the 50th anniversary like what Disneyland has right now.

I would say that the next piece of Icon to take over WDW will be something for the 50th Celebration and that it will be PROPERTY WIDE saturation! I would venture to say that Cinderella's Castle may be painted with a golden overlay and that a golden theme will prevail throughout the property beginning October 2020. Lots of food encrusted with Gold Leaf, golden Mickey Ear Hats, 50th Anniversary watch, a 24k Gold T shirt(?) The list in limitless of what they could do and how far they will take it! But knowing and seeing how Disney has been operating lately, the merchandise, gifts and food will be mediocore for an expensive price tag for high profitability!

Agreed with the price tag. I doubt it will surpass the 25th anniversary celebration. I think a lot of the things that are in the pipeline now will be promotion for the 50th. It is pretty certain a new fireworks show at MK will debut; likely Illuminations will get a new show as well.
