How long to mini golf?

I used to mini golf frequently, but haven't in several years. We have blocks of non-park time in our upcoming trip, so I thought mini golf would be fun. How long do you think it would take 2 adults (moderate mini golfing skills) to complete one course? Do the courses actually get busy enough that there are backups, or are the slow enough for keep groups spaced well? It looks like they stay open several hours after dark, so we might try Fantasia Gardens at night.

It has been a while, but 18 holes can be done in an hour or less easy. It all depends on whether or not you get stuck behind that family with 5 kids that are all taking 18-22 swings per hole that are oblivious to the fact that other people exist in the world.
I hate that. We have 2 little kids and we are always letting families go past us. My other pet peeve is the families that let their kids play way ahead. The family will be on 3 or 4 different holes and then you have some 10 yo breathing down your neck and getting in your way while you are trying to play your hole because they want to go NOW.

We have been pretty lucky in that regard save for one trip. Remember that scene in Happy Gilmore where he 5 puted the final hole by hitting the ball around a foot on each tap? There was a family in front of us with a teenager that played every hole like that. Watching her 20 putting up the final ramp was an absolute delight.

My daughter is a whiz at minigolf. She did NOT get that skill from me. When we play if I haven't got it in the hole after four tries I call it a loss and move on to the next. :) It's been a long time since we played at WDW but we have the WP&M option and plan to do both FG and WS. Can anyone tell me if they are busy at opening? We want to play before it gets too hot.

I have been at all hours of the day and during every season from value to holiday and have never seen them at a state that I would call busy. Sure there are people there, but it has always been very manageable.

I think it usually takes my husband and me about 30 minutes, one time it was pretty busy and we had to wait about 10 mintues to start the course and I think we were there for about 40 minutes. That was at WinterSummerland. I haven't tried Fantasia Gardens.

At FG last time we all went it was me, my wife, and two DD's.We finished the entire course less than 45 miutes. The crowds were not that heavy when we went and never had to wait behind others.
