90 minutes is asking a bit much. Especially for October which is not too busy unless it's closer to Halloween. I'd say 30 minutes...honestly. 45 minutes at most because that arena is incredibly huge. The amount of people they can fit in there is insane. And virtually everywhere is a good seat, even if you are higher up. Don't go sit for forever, especially if you have kids...the restlessness boredom will surely get to them...so I'd say, for October, 30-45 minutes!

We'll usually get there about 30 - 45 minutes as well but you always get the last minute losers that stroll in 5 minutes til and they usually get the best seats. I'll tell you though we were there at the end of April and that show did fill up, we were turned away at the entrance. I will admit though I was being a last minute loser that night. Kind of didn't matter if we saw it or not.

We arrived at the gate 45 mins before in October and had no problems. It takes a few minutes to get in and get a seat, then took DS to the restrooms and by the time we go back to our seats the show was about to start. With so many people it's a bit hard to get anyplace quickly in the theater so make sure you give yourself time to get in and get a seat. It wasn't full the night we went either, close but not full

You can ALWAYS get seats. It really depends on how picky you're group is. I don't mind getting wet, and I love sitting as close as possible, so we usually get there 30-60 minutes early.

Last June went a few times and never showed up earlier than 60 min advance and we always got great seats in the centre about half way up. I would think that in October you could show up later (because it's less busy) and still get great seats. Don't do the dinner package. The reserved seats are way off to the side of theatre. IMO you can get much better seats without it, even when you show up closer to showtime (except maybe during the busiest times of the year).

Fantasmic Dinner Package

You have to eat anyway right? MGM offers the Fantasmic dinner package where you can eat at the Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's or Hollywood and Vine and receive basically a pass that allows you into the back gate for Fantasmic without having to wiat in line at all. You can enter up to an hour and half in advance up to a half hour in advance. The seats are reserved and are on the far right if looking at the mountain. We have done this the past three years gotten a good meal and had front row seats for the show arriving about 20 to 30 minutes prior.Just a thought.
