How long is too long to wait?

I applied for a few of the PIs on Disney's website and have not heard anything back yet. I don't think I even got an e-mail about it (I don't remember, though). How long does it usually take between applying and getting a response? I noticed one of the PIs I applied for is no longer listed. Does that mean they received the max number of applications for that position? It looks like the list has dwindled down to 3 pages from 5.

The deadline for these internships is March 7 (or thereabouts), but I would expect to hear something before then...right?

That can be tricky...If the deadline hasn't arrived yet, don't expect to hear anything at all.

One thing you can do is call the JOBS hotline to see what the status of your application is. You can verify its receipt, whether the position has been filled, etc.

For WDW that number is 407-828-1000 follow the options on the phone and at one point you can be connected to a live person...or an animatronic figure...I haven't quite figured that part out yet.

Yeah, I checked the status on DisneyCareers.com and nothing has been posted. It's been verified that I applied, but that's about it. There is nothing under "status," "interview," or "assessment." Hopefully that will change come March 7 when the deadline approaches.

I wish they had more internships for project and operations management. It seems there are a ton for animals and veterinary medicine majors.

Don't rely on Disneycareers.com. Call the job hotline to find out if your application was even received, and if it is being processed or what the status of your application is. The careers site isn't always updated in a timely manner. Talk to a real person.
