How long/how much to Disneyland from John Wayne?

Hi. We are flying in to John Wayne fairly early in the morning (arrival time 9:30.) How long is the cab ride to Grand Californian, and about how much is it?--We've always flown in to LAX, and used a shuttle, but we don't like waiting for the shuttle. We plan to take just carry on bags and go!

Well, you are catching at a fairly good time, traffic will begin to break up aruond the 9:00am time frame. (unless someone really biffed it on the fwy.)

From cab in to hotel out should be around 20 minutes, give or take 5 minutes - just depends on actual freeway traffic.

As far as cab cost, I have no idea - sorry.

cab fees fluctuate based on time and distance, and they are at an all time high now due to gas prices...maybe $40-45 each way for the carload? It's California, so gas prices are even worse than they are everywhere else.

Last time I went through there, during the Spring Break rush, there were a whoppin' 4 people on my flight, myself and my friend included.

If I remember correctly, I believe it was about $45, including the tip, from John Wayne, when my family and I went in March. We had to use a van taxi, but I honestly don't know if they charge extra or something for them.

It took about 15-20 minutes to get to the Disneyland area, but this also was at 3pm in the afternoon. Since you'll be arriving early, there shouldn't be a problem with traffic.

We used the Super Shuttle vans each time we went and had no wait at all. There was only one other person on the van when we arrived andt he driver took off after we boarded.

I'd say it was about 20-30 minutes at $20 round trip.

I agree Super Shuttle is the way to go. Better than taking a cab. Actually, I'm surprised GC doesn't have shuttle service.
