Royal Pacific and Hard Rock to City Walk (by foot and by boat), where does it drop you off? Near the parks or at the beginning of City Walk?

The boats drop you off at the boat dock right in between citywalk and the entrance to the parks. I've never stayed at the Hard Rock, but from Royal Pacific, as long as you don't have to wait for a boat, the boat ride isn't anymore than 3 minutes or so. The walk is probably no more than 10 minutes or so. It's not that far.

The boat ride is short as already stated, but the wait for the boat can be a while. Depending on when you're there, Portifino and Hard Rock share a boat if it's slow. This can really slow down the boat.

I find it's easier to walk.

Also, if you're enjoying adult beverages at CityWalk, you can finish them while walking, no booze on the boats! Security will make you finish your drinks before you hit the actual property of the hotel because they hold a separate liquor/beer license.
