I've been craving to hit up the new dino restaurant at AK for sometime now, anyone know how the food is? I'm up for steaks and burgers, but do not want to pay an insane price on crap food.

Well, I got the rotisserie chicken, which was not great, and my nephew got the kids corn dogs which he wouldn't even eat. He said they tasted bad, like spoiled. The waffle fries were pretty good. A burger might be a better idea, but I wouldn't go there again, it's pretty expensive for the quality of food. It's also VERY loud, which I didn't think would bother us, but it was just too much.

I don't recommend it. We enjoyed Rainforest much more.

I'd have to agree with the PP. Food was so-so. I had a chicken salad, which was tasty and well-prepared. My friend had the fish tacos, which he said were bad and didn't finish, and he had an upset stomach for the rest of the evening.

I don't mind the sound effects at RFC at all, but the noise level seemed higher here. It was kind of annoying.

Prices....I'm well used to high food prices at Disney, I don't bat an eye because I know prices are higher in resort areas. I thought the TREX prices were outrageous, though. 1 dinner salad, 1 order of tacos, and two sodas came to $50 with the tip. That's nuts.

We just got hamburgers and french fries which were delicious. Prices were high but it's a great lunch during a long day at Animal Kingdom. I really like the atmosphere in there though. As for the noise and the crowds, if you hit it after the lunch rush, you won't have to worry about that.

DH and I went for lunch early Dec. Our server was wonderful...quick and attentive. I ordered the Panini (knowing it was served cold/not grilled as stated in the reviews)....would have been better grilled.
Atmosphere is okay... DH teaches science so we did walk around to see all the "exhibits". We were in the Ice room (as requested) in hopes it would be a little quieter ...it was still loud!
Was a very exspensive lunch for the little we got:(
Nice to have gone once....but we will not return.

Why do you tell things like this when you know the truth is really being stretched to the limit. I've been there and if you paid that much for that little you're the only one that did.
I spent $54.05 including tip on a rotisserie chicken, kids corn dogs meal, two sodas and 5 mozzarella sticks. Not too outrageous for Disney prices, I suppose, but for what the meal was it was ridiculous.

I "tell things like this" because it's the truth. Check the prices on the menu.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think a lot of people are describing T-Rex Café, the the OP asked about the place in Animal Kingdom, which I assume to be Restaurantasaurus, however they don't have steaks (OP mentioned steaks).

I thought the Restaurantasaurus was good. My husband had a burger, my son and I had hot dogs.

Ooops, you're absolutely right. The OP did mention AK.

But...Restaurantasaurus isn't new, it's been there since the park opened. The 'new' threw me off. And it doesn't serve steak, it's counter service. Burgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs. I've found the food to be decent there, but it's just a fast food joint with typical theme park fast food.

I think the OP was thinking of T-Rex, but thinking it was in Dinoland in AK. It's not, it's in DTD.
