I will be going to WDW in November, what can I expect to see?

will there still be visible exterior construction? Will walls still be up? Im just trying to get an idea of what kind of condition the whole project will be at by the time i get there.

I'm not really sure what the alternative to walls being up would be. So long as the construction site is active (which it will be in November), there will be walls.

As for visible exterior construction, it would be speculation for me to say anything but I believe that *most* of the exterior work should be just about done by then.

I have wondered the same thing. We will be there in mid October. When we were there last October, the wall were there and a lot of dirt everywhere. I am hoping that we will at least be able to see the building exteriors finished, or at least near completion this time.

You will see walls and trees.
In between you will see the buildings taking shape.

Thanks about it.

I am sure you may even see more walls then what are up now, Dumbo will have to me moved sometime. So that whole section will be closed off too.

Most exteriors should be taking shape and most work will be on the inside of the buildings. Not sure, but the 7DMT may begin some construction.

so that makes me wonder that if the exterior construction is done and only internal building is being worked on, could at least a few walls come down just for the sake of making the area look better, even if there is no interaction yet?

The exteriors of the buildings might be nearing completion, but the other site work might not be done. The concept art and model show numerous streams and bridges in both the BatB and LM areas and form the aerial photos it appears that little if no work has been done yet on these features. Until this work is complete the walls will have to stay up.

The walls will be there until the very last moment, when they are ready to start letting customers in to the shops and restaurants and rides.

As a good example, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure opens at California Adventure in seven weeks, with Cast Member Previews rumored to begin two weeks earlier. That means the attraction will be open and fully functioning just five weeks from now. But the walls around it are still firmly in place, with lots of detailing and painting work going on behind them seemingly 24 hours per day. They still haven't even put the sigange up on the rotunda or the archway.

According to a timetable Lee has posted, the BatB complex and the Mermaid ride at Magic Kingdom will open in late 2012 around Christmastime. That's about a year after your next visit in November, 2011. I think it's safe to say there will be a heck of a lot of walls in Fantasyland this fall and winter. :animwink:
