You can book room-only over the phone up to 499 days from the end of your planned stay.

ok so room only not a package? Then you have to call what time out to convert to a package. We want to pay on it a long time out. Well my daughters and their two familys do. What is the time frame for the new expansion now any info on that?

The room-only reservation can be changed to a package once they announce the packages, usually in the first week or two of August the preceding year. So early August 2011 in your scenario.

I didn't answer about the expansion because I honestly don't know. :o

Never been in June. End of August is definitely hot and humid. Advantage then is the local kids are in school. June they're in the parks...

I went the first week of June this year and it was amazingly hot and humid, humid, humid. I live in Georgia so for me to even notice humidity is rare.

I kow several people will laugh when I say this.... but I have always found a good source of jusdging a region is the farmers almanac. If you go to the website and acroll down the page there is a Weather History gadget that you can use. It allows you to choose dates and years and will show you jistorically what the weather is like during that time. The reason I like it better then the average "it's usually about this temperature" reports is because weather has a tendency to run in patterns and you can see what pattern you are in. :)

Do not go in June then as it will be brutal. If you want to avoid heat and humidity you really need to look at a December-March time frame.

If you're looking to start paying for a Disney trip but you're too far out to make a reservation, you can always go to your local Disney Store (if you have one near you) and get a gift card or two. Then as you want to put money aside for the trip, go back to the store and add money to them.

Each card can hold up to $1500, and they can be used to pay for Disney vacations (made both online and over the phone) and spending money while on the trip.

I have a couple I keep reusing for my various trips. It's a way that I know I can put away money for the trip and not be tempted to use it elsewhere. ;)

Thanks Rob, but where else can you get them? The closest store is over 500 miles away.... Some had said that they get them at their local grocery stores???? We have Wal Mart and Target only plus local small town grocery chains.. So now what? Thanks again

I have purchased the gift cards at Kroger's and this week I found them at Walgreen's. So, it would not hurt to look in your local stores.

Disney sells many more options online thant they do in the store. Check out http://www.disneygiftcard.com/home/ for more info. You can even customize your own card if you want!

You can choose from a large assortment of card designs at www.disneygiftcard.com and I believe they come with free shipping. You're limited to 10 pre-set dollars amounts though, up to $500.

And there is no way to add money to the card online or over the phone. Adding money to the card can only happen in-person at a Disney Store or at WDW or Disneyland.
