How far in advance to purchase park tickets and lock in reservations?

Will be at Coronado in late March 2022 and Shades of Green early April (my service member son has our room reserved). So far, all dates for all parks are available (except 4/3/22 is already booked at Hollywood Studios for some reason). What is the latest recommended time to purchase our park tickets and lock in our park reservations? Advice appreciated................

We are going same time as you. FYI, Hollywood Studios is blocked on 4/3 because of Spring Surprise Marathon at DHS that morning - thinking they are not allowing reservations but park hopping will be allowed at 2. I'm trying to budget costs of trip so I'm waiting a little bit longer before buying tickets and reserving parks, but likely before end of year.
