How early will Epcot let me in???

I have a 9:30 am reservation at Akershus. Epcot opens at 9 am that day. I was hoping to be one of the first in line for the Frozen meet and greet then head over to my reservation. (I'm not really worried about being a few minutes late to breakfast.) Which this all depends on what time Epcot will let us in. I've heard Epcot usually does rope drop a few minutes early. Do any of you have any idea if Epcot will let us enter before rope drop or are they strict about reservation times?

Typically, they will let guests enter early if they have ADRs, but since your ADR is 30 minutes after the park opens, they may not let you in early.

But since World Showcase doesn't open until 11:00am, officially, do they start the MnG before then? I know they open for breakfast, but I'm not sure if characters come out.

I think the M&G got extended hours to start at 9am (through 6pm) around the same time they extended the duration of its run. @Tom, fair point on the world showcase opening - do you think it's an anomaly though or hint of things to come?

They will let guests in early with ADR's so I wouldn't think you would have trouble sneaking in a few minutes early even though your time is after the current park opening time.

I don't think they have any plans of opening World Showcase any earlier. It's just the Frozen meet and greet that is opening early the rest of Norway besides the gift shop remains closed until 11:00 am.

I believe even if you have an ADR that is before park opening, they will only let you in 20 minutes before your ADR, so in your case, I doubt they will let you in early since the park will be open before your ADR.

I'm gonna go with: it's a little girl thing and a new movie so they're familiar with it already...plus one of the few that Epcot has for those that like M&Gs. Personally, I've got boys, we saw it as we were going to/from Maelstrom and hubby was availing himself of a drink at kringla og...

I have not seen the movie, but my daughter did (she's 7) and she loves it. She rarely requests to see characters for a meet and greet, but requested to see these two. After reading that there can be 3-4 hour long waits to meet them (CRAZY) I was hoping to be able to get in a few minutes before rope drop. I guess I will just show and and wait and see!

WOW this is what I have been thinking all along. I have not seen the movie and I was just as disney a month ago and it is in full Frozen mode - but I do not get the big deal either.

Because you haven't seen the movie...I cried...embarrassed my daughters and grandkids. We went and saw it Thanksgiving day at the theatre in DtD and when it got to the part where Anna was frozen and Elsa realized what had happened...I cried out loud with Elsa...

We were going to take a 2-3 year hiatus from Disney until my daughter became enamored with Elsa and Anna. We're now considering a short trip or a Dis Cruise with a park day just so she can meet the princesses...

Disney is like Heroin. Sometimes I feel like a junkie...:p
