How does the Snow effect work in HPFB

I don't know for sure but the sound of the machines sounds identical to the snow machines used on Main Street and in other theatrical venues...ie It makes a lot of soap bubbles really quickly.

That's exactly it.

And if you're in the front at the right spot you'll get quite a blizzard on you.

That would make sense for the speed of the effect I just thought on a set that they spent so much money building and rendering that they would not want any liquids on it at all.

It doesn't really fall on anything major....except the guests.

And it just dissolves as soon as you touch it.

Well the floor in that area looked like a waxed or sealed cement, and the snow comes relatively straight down so it might not be as big of an issue as it seems.

This all make sense. One thing that amazes me though is that in this picture, taken directly looking up, all of the detail that ahs been pt in even in those high up rafters no one would ever normally see.

I have read that they use a system the also includes a drying agent in the soap so that in effect after the small bubble has formed it dries so that after it pops on the ground (or elsewhere) it doesn't leave a slippery film behind. Just dust.

I forgot where I read that...so don't hold me to it. But it makes a lot of sense, as a cheap snow machine can be quite messy!
