How does the extra magic hour(s) work?

A couple of questions about the extra magic hour(s). How do you prove you are a resort guest? Do you have to show room keys, or do you wear some special bracelet like during the E-Ride nights?

How well is it enforced?

And if it is during the morning hours, do they let everyone into the park but only those with proper ID on the rides? Or can you only get in with proper ID?

Is there a much less hectic opening with this, in other words, has this helped on the frantic running to (fill in the blank) attraction for that particular park? Or is it still the same?

Is it true that whichever park has the early morning opening tends to get very crowded during the day?

Anything else I should know or that you would like to share?

And lastly, is it worthwhile?

Fro the evening Extra Magic Hours (EMH), you will need to go to either a location inside the park, or right at the gates, to acquire a wristband. You'll need to show your resort ID to a Cast Member to get the wristband. Those without a wristband aren't necessarily "kicked out" of the park, but are not allowed on attractions. As far as I know, it's pretty well enforced. Wristbands are available at multiple locations throughout the event, so you don't need to worry about being there at the start to be admitted or get a wristband. Wristbands are also available at the gate right up until the EMH ends.

Morning EMH require a resort ID to gain admission into the park. As for actual effect on opening proceedures, I'm afraid I don't know, as I've never done the morning EMH. The morning EMH park is generally more croweded than non-EMH parks for at least the morning through early afternoon.

And, yes, I really enjoyed the evening EMH's that I went to (Epcot and Magic Kingdom). Note that the evening Magic Kingdom EMH generally "works" better than any of the other ones. I didn't actually really ride anything for Epcot's EMH, though I did really enjoy the nighttime ambience and lack of crowds in the park walkways. For Magic Kingdom's evening EMH, it was slightly more crowded than I would have liked for the first hour or so, but after that there was hardly a line to be found in the place.

hi i never did the early morning park option when i was in florida 2 weks ago
but i did do the early swimming option 1 day with my boy and it worked great we had the water park and all the rides we wanted to do done by 10.00 am and then we just relaxed where we wanted to be by the wave pool and watched everyone come in.
they do monitor it very stictly with your room card and they give you a wrist band to prove it.

all in all very good and worth paying to stay on disney property. we also did a magic kingdom night 12.00 midnight till 3.00am by 2.00 am the park was empty and free to do everything but i must admit by 2.30 it was a little creapy as there was hardly any cast members to be seen very starange considering 2 hours before the park was solid and wall to wall with people (2 hours to go on space mountin, 90 mins to go on buzz) then all the people just started to dissapear

strange ?????????????

I did morning and evening. You have to show your resort ID in the morning to gain entrance into the park. They were checking everyone before you got in line to go in. At night they won't let you on the attraction without the wrist band. They checked ours each time.

I've done morning EMH before, there ok. It all depends on the time of year, if it's the middle of summer, I'd say skip it, it's just too crowded, especially at the water parks. Now if your there in Oct, or Nov, I would say take advantage of them, My only complaint was in MK they don't open Frontier land until regular park hours start

They only open a small number of rides for morning EMHs, so that's why Frontierland isn't open then--it is open during evening EMHs though.

How does EPCOT work for Night EMH

What time does evening EMH's end in EPCOT. If World Showcase closes at 9:00 and Future World closes at 7:00, does EMH end at 12:00 or 10:00??? If it is 10:00, I don't see this being much of an advantage since the bigger attractions in Future World are open later than 7:00 anyway.

Thanks!
