How does the DAS work with shows?

I'm a TA with a client doing a one day visit to CA in about a week. I mostly work with WDW and have only a little experience with the Disneyland Resort. My client has two disabled children and I'm wondering if the DAS works with a card like it use to at WDW and if there are any rules that are different? Also wondering if the DAS can be used for a show? Specifically wondering if they might by able to use this to avoid the long lines for the new Frozen show? Standing for a length of time would be very difficult for one of the two kids. If anyone has any information they can share, I would really appreciate it!

The new Frozen show will utilize Fastpass instead of a regular standby line, so your best bet is to have your client arrive at the Hyperion at park opening to get Fastpasses. They can also inquire about DAS procedures there. Since the show won't open until Friday, we don't know what the procedures for it will be. Getting Fastpasses will ensure entry with little wait. Mickey and the Magical Map at Disneyland allows disabled guests access to the theater first as well, but doesn't use Fastpass.

Thank you for your quick reply! My first thought is to have them try for a FP but unfortunately, they are going on a Friday when CA has early entry, but they will not be able to come in until regular park opening. With the huge crowds I have to assume there will be very long lines trying to get the available fastpasses. Hopefully when the show opens there will be more details available.
