How does single rider line work on ExpEver?

I've been to Disney many times before, but I will be going solo in may. I was just wondering where you pick up the single rider line for EE. Do you pick it up where you enter the Fast Pass? Does it skip the entire "normal" que?

Side question...Do you still think I should get a fast pass to EE, then dart over to KSafari?

Thanks!

It's a separate line, off to the right side of the fp return and standby (closer to the store. There's usually a sign as well.

I've done it on numerous occasions and waited anywhere from 0-20 minutes, depending on how crowded the park is - on average each car will take 3-4 single riders.

If it's being used, the singles line is opened up in a small area between the Standby entrance and the gift shop. It's right next to the demonstration vehicle, if that helps. It's not used every day, and not necessarily throughout the whole day if it is used. There will be a sign out if Single Rider is available. The Single line does bypass all queue elements. It forms right next to the waiting area for guests wishing to get the front row.

My recommendation, assuming that both attractions have long lines and Singles isn't being used, is to get a FP for the Safaris and wait standby for Everest. Everest might be a longer wait, but it has a LOT more to look at in the queue than Safaris does.

Here is one idea... go to Everest first thing in the morning... ride it... get a fast pass... run over to K Safari... do that... then go to Dinosaur... ride that... and anything else you like while you wait for the fast pass time to come due for EE. Then ride EE again.

Depending how busy EE is, you can grab an FP and go through Standby at least once fairly quickly first thing when the park opens. Then use the single rider line if it's available until your FP is valid. It's worthwhile to go through both queues at least once each.

DS and I rode three or four times that way first thing each of two AK days during our last trip and then got FPs for another late-day ride as well. Between our two trips since EE was running, we've been on 26 times!

You also need to be aware that there are days where the Single Rider Line can be LONGER than just going on regular standby -- people tend to use the single rider lines as whole groups then just split up at the last minute. Not surprisingly, WDW has done away with most of their other single rider lines except for EE and TT - and it's really not working right on either one.

I agree that your best bet is just to go to the ride first thing and ride, get another FP if you want to ride again, then head over to Safari. You won't have a long wait for either one. EE loads really quickly, and until the line queu packs in about an hour after park opening, you can do standby in 20 minutes or less.

These days most people run to EE first - then head off to see whatever other attractions they want to see -- after you ride, you will find very little wait over at the Safaris -- that also packs in later in the morning now.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call taking the single rider line out of two of the four attractions that have/had them as "most". :)

Mission: Space's line was removed out of the necessity for queue space when they split the ride into Green and Orange missions. I don't know why Soarin's single rider line was removed, but I'll agree it was probably because it wasn't working. And let's not ignore that they're in the process of *adding* Single Rider to RnRC...

But I will agree with you that often groups go through the Single Rider line together and if you get a lot of groups it can potentially make for a long SIngle Rider line. When I'm there with friends we do that at Test Track, though it's never more than 3 or 4 of us.

i thought the single rider line worked beautifully when I was there in early January! it was closed for a few hours one afternoon, but i used the single rider line all four times i rode, and i never waited more than 15 minutes. this was during pretty busy days, when all the FP were gone by like noon, and the standby wait was usually 65-70 minutes. i say, if its open, definitely use it!

They will tell you the Single Rider line doesn't work at Epcot on Soarin', yet it manages to work with an identical ride system at California Adventure. The lines for the Single Flyer Line would surely get long, but this is the ride w/ 4-hour stand-by waits. Posting SRL wait times works fine--guests will not agree to be separated from their party if the SRL wait time approaches that of the stand-by. I would imagine part of it might be that it creates a mess in an already confined entryway. Still, they did the guests a disservice by removing that line. Lots of people simply cannot ride Soarin' due to its prohibitive wait times and FPs that sell out in the morning. Vacationers are not going to wait in line for four hours...it shouldn't have been a great mental leap to realize that the ride that routinely gets 2-hour waits at DCA would have 3-4 hour waits at Epcot, a park with almost twice the yearly attendance of DCA...shoulda been 3 or even 4 theatres.

I love the SRLs. It sucks that they can't offer it on Mission: SPACE anymore...luckily its lines are never all that bad. They should add an SRL to Splash...
