How does one become an Imagineer?

It sounds like the dream job, but I wonder what the requirements are? Do you have to have a science degree? Or is it a creativity thing, like writing scripts or scenarios? Architecture? Computers? What is it or at least, how do you find out about it?

Imagineer dreams

Hey EVeryone.......Just to let you know, on the last page of the magineer book (a blank page), it states:

"There are two ways to look at this blank sheet of paper. You can look at it as the last page of a book, or as the greatest opportunity in the world because nobody's put anything on it. Thats the way we look at it at Imagineering. Go ahead and use it to dream, create new thingsand let your imagination go.

Why not? Everything begind somewhere..." Imagineers.

So there you go, hope that inspires everyone. It inspires me everyday

if you're lucky, you are asked to work for WDI because of your reknowned expertise in a field...

if you're like everyone else, you get Disney Company, real world experience, AND a college degree, make sure your resume and portfolio are both flawless (And you have positive rehire status within Disney corporate in case you opted get some Disney experience... not required, but it makes things easier), and then start applying. And then, it's like any other job application process... interviews, tests, etc... until 1 applicant comes out on top.

and to top it off... a quote a very high ranking member of WDI told me in 2003...

"There aren't any classes you can take to be an imagineer. To be an imagineer you need to have certain aptitudes, and real world experience. Go to college, get a job in the real world, and after a few years, then try to become an imagineer."
