How does magic band work with storm along bay at BC?

Just wondering because you usually need to show your room key ID in order for them to let you in the pool.

I am sure they are waterproof and have something set in place for that.

thats a good question since there is no visual on the band for them to check to allow you to enter.
If all they rely on here is that you have a band, that will allow anyone with one to enter, not good
Maybe this area too will get a entry system.

Not 100% sure but I believe they have an RF-Reader at the entrances which can pull up your reservation info. so they can see where you are staying. Guests are currently getting both MagicBands and KTTW cards during the test at Yacht Club so I'm not sure if that has been put into place yet as they can still go by the old system.

This is what I'm wondering if they actually are having readers at each entrance to Stormalong Bay.

I think as of right now, people are getting room keys in addition to the bands. I'm guessing you would show that to get into SAB. Once the whole system goes live, they might have readers at the entrances to the pool area.

I stay a BC often, never been carded once so Im pretty sure Magic Bands will not be a big issue and yes they are water friendly.

They do not have the system yet but I did hear they might have portable scanners at the pool for magic bands. One day they want to have a system like the ones at the park entrances to check it or stick to portable checking devices, whatever works out best in the testing phases. For now if you have a magic band, they ask you to tap the device and just check you are staying at the resort. The other guests will get wristbands if they do not have magic bands. Magic bands are also waterproof so it takes the hassle out of bringing room keys everytime with you.

This is my favorite part of the wrist bands. I hated leaving my KTTW card hanging out on a random chair while I was in the pool.

I didn't like leaving my key behind when I was at the pool either. So I guess this is one positive of the magic band!

As of this week, I have heard they have a system going to scan MB at the pool, testing it out for those doing the test at BC and YC. I do have to warn everyone, we do suggest for now to bring your KTTW cards until the Magic Bands go fully live so just know that if your lucky enough to participate in the test. Once it goes fully live, then hopefully you can leave the cards elsewhere.
