ok...

I WANT A DELUXE RESORT!!!

sry had to get that out!!!

...we've stayed at a DelR twice...once at the Floridian...and the Poly over Christmas....but they kinda doesn't count...lol

Floridian....I was too young to remember...
Poly..got upgraded form the POR...after they closed for renovations...A good treat...but still doesn't count...lol

Ok here's my thing....
read the second line...lol...and add to that how do I get it cheep?
I mean $287 for value season...little high for my budget...but if we waited another year we could do it...:( ...
And I know we could do it...say this year...if we shortened the vacation...which we could do...

I need some ways on how to lower the cost of the vacation...
I tried mousesavers...but nothing really out there...for the average folk...:(
we did have APs...they expired:(

Is there nething I can try... :veryconfu

I know..kinda a hard question...
I dion't need length of stay passes...we would rather just get 3 or 4 day park hoppers....
we can see if the airfare is cheep....
and then it just comes to to the room...

Ok sry for the post being so long...

DD

First of all, consider Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge; they are cheaper, yet amazingly-beautiful Resorts. Second, consider waiting till the fall, when all the big deals come out (usually). Third, realize that not everyone can afford a deluxe resort...actually a lot of people can't. Depends on preferences. You could take one four day trip to a deluxe and possibly not go back again for a while, or spend a week at a moderate and go again the next year...I would argue that a week at a mod is better...

It's kind of gamble right now. We are going down in June, and I'm hoping Disney will do some discounts for that time frame for AP holders. We don't hold AP's, but I would buy one just to get the discount at a deluxe resort. According to Mousesavers, Disney did have AP discounts last year during the time we are going down. I have a plan B, but I'm really hoping they'll announce something by the end of March.

Good luck.

Heres my thing...

we've been down soo much..that we've seen everything...

I figured a Deluxe resort would be great...

DOGSRULE!-

You have a point...I would rather go for 2 weeks in a year..then 4 days in 2 years...
Then again..some people would rather get a living room set that would last 50 years...then a vacation that lasts a week...

A four day at say a BC or YC....would be great...
easy access to MGM and EPCOT...more our parks
close to the boardwalk....
and awsome pool....

I forgot to mention that I did stay at the AKL....one night...as an add on...it was great...just too far away....

I THINK THE WL WOULD BE GREAT!!!.....
IF nething we will most likely stay there...
I love the rustic surroundings....

We went down to Florida in April of 2002 and we stayed at a deluxe resort for quite a bargain. Actually we stayed right through Easter. We stayed at the Swan Resort for 10 days, and the original price was $500 a night. Yes quite expensive, we wouldn't have stayed if it remained that. All we did was use the Entertainment book nothing else, and the price each night was chopped in half to $250. Hope that helps...:)

You can always move to Florida! I have recently seen (and used) the FL Resident discount code for AKL or WL standard view rooms for $109. No kidding. You have to produce a FL drivers license at check-in though. The other deluxes were a little more.

we always stay at the WL...try AAA (membership discounts on Disney packages) Plus there are a ton of sites freq listed that have discounts. I personally don't mind cutting back at home, saving change, etc. to make sure we have a great trip. Last July we were offered our room for an extra night at half price because the hotel was almost empty! Can't remember what it was called (some help here) but the tickets don't come with it. Stayed at the Poly last trip...no room at the WL...liked it but am going back to the Lodge. Just remember if you really want you will find a way!!!!

Go during value season like Sept. Mousesavers will have a discount code for that time. The parks will be empty and you will be able to easily do all you want in 5 days. Also, stay at a MK resort that cuts down on transportation time.

We got the Poly Concierge for $239 with our AP for Feb 5-9 but there was a discount code that would give you the same rate. They give you all the sodas, water, fruit and cookies you can eat. You get a continential breakfast and hot food from 5 -7. You can eat one big meal at lunch and then make a dinner off the snacks and desserts. It is more than worth the extra money. They even give you juice boxes and water to take to the parks. You just can't beat it. Plus you have the best concierge staff....

I agree, we went the week after Thanksgiving last year and the rates are great. We are going again in March and with the Discount code , we are getting woods view at the Wilderness Lodge for just a little over $200. I guess timing is everything.
