Premium members pay and get no ads and access to a premium members lounge. Well-Known members achieve that status I believe based on their likes count.

Premium membership is only five bucks a month and you can just join for a single month, non-recurring. I barely go to the premium lounge but if you are on here a lot, I think it's a nice idea to support the site when and if you are able.

It's based on post count, not likes.
