How do I “separate” my husband so he can login on his own?

For years, I’ve been managing tickets and plans for my husband and our kids. This week, my stepson and I are doing an early morning for RotR and meeting up with my husband and toddler later. The next day, my husband and son will be going while I stay back with our daughter.

I realized, though, that he needs access to MDE to get a boarding group without me. He signed up for an account, but how do I merge the “him” I created in MDE years ago, which has his ticket and all his FPs, with the login he created?

Apparently there’s some sort of dining/reservation outage right now so I gave up on hold after 45 minutes. We leave for WDW tomorrow so I thought maybe we’ll just go to GR, but I prefer to get him set up on my own at home first, if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This should be what you need. Go to your profile on the app, click Family and Friends list, and then select your husband and click on the envelope for "share planning with (name)."

You'll enter their email address and he will get a link to set up his account. I would also make sure that his account is friends with both yourself and your son.

And for him to become friends with any kids that you control, he should be the one to initiate the friend request. Make sure you're allowing others to see your friend list, and then he can add children through the people you may know/mutual friend function.

I have the opposite problem. My husband made his own account because he wanted to be able to download the app on his phone to easily view our plans. He doesn't want to plan or be involved in any way so this has created a nuisance because now he's harder for me to manage. For example, we have dozens of MagicBands but only set a few as active for each trip. I can't manage his bands from my account anymore. Is there any way for him to delete his separate account and just go back to being managed by me, like our children are?
