How do early morning ADRs work?

I'm planning on getting a reservation for Breakfast at the Royal Table. If I make the reservation for 8:20 or so, will they let me in the park around 7:50? How will they know I have the ADR? Should I bring a printed copy with me? Is there a separate line or something? I want to make sure I don't get there confused and miss my reservation. :hilarious:

07:50 may be a bit early for them to let you into the park, perhaps nearer 08:00 and then a 20 minute stroll to the castle.

As for "How will they know" - It'll show on your Magic Band (if you choose to use one), if not take a print out of your ressie or take your booking ref along with you (just in case)

The last 2 times we went to Disney we made reservations at Crystal Palace for about an hour before the park opened and had no trouble at all getting in. I actually think I just gave them my name and they had a printed out reservation list with everyones names on it and then they checked our magic bands when we entered the park. Last year we only got in like 5 minutes before our reservation due to bus issues but the trip before we got in about a half hour before our reservation and they let us in no problem :) Its an awesome experience walking around a pretty empty park. What time does the park open on the day of your reservation?

Is it 20 minutes? I have no clue where anything is at. Hopefully the castle will be hard to miss. :p

I hope the bus will take me so early! I don't know when they open, I'm actually not going until May. I just have to need to plan ahead. It bugs me a lot that I can't see which days have EMH! :( My need to plan feels sad, lol.

Walk into the park and onto Main Street and it's hard to miss.

20 minutes from front gate to the Castle would be a *very* leisurely amble with multiple stops to take pictures in an empty park. :)

Power-walking with no crowds to weave through you could probably make it in under 4 minutes.

That's great news! I thought it was much farther away. I'm a newbie with this whole thing, haha. I'm glad I have this site, much easier than trying to communicate with disney itself.

Buses start running about 6:30 AM to get people to early morning character meals and tours that start early as well.

I believe the concierge told me at POFQ that buses start running 2 hours before park opening…at least in the busy seasons :)
