How Disney made your trip extra special

Simple question. I know it will vary depending what your celebrating or what you are doing in the parks.

There are several threads on things similar to this.

Sadly, as social media has become the monster it is, special things still do occur but far less than they used to. This is due, in part, to threads like this where people see what others have gotten then go themselves with the expectation of having the same "extra special" moments.

We were in WDW celebrating DS's 16th birthday. Checked into Port Orleans Riverside and were informed we had been upgraded to a Royal Room! Yay!! LOVED THAT ROOM! Also, checked into the Poly a year ago. Had made a building request. Informed that the room was not even close to what we had requested. Put on a pouty face and the CM worked her magic and was able to get us exactly what we wanted! We've been to WDW many times and haven't received requests, etc... but whenever we do, it is magical! We never expect it, but surprises are always awesome!

I'm sure y'all have heard this story before but it was pouring rain on night when my friend and I had a dinner reservation at the poly. We had to get from POFQ to the Polynesian and knew the quickest way would be to hop on a bus to magic kingdom then get on the monorail. No one was waiting for the buses besides us, because it was TORRENTIAL RAIN. The bus driver pulls up, Ron, and asks if we are really going to MK in this weather. We tell him we are trying to get to dinner at Kona cafe and he tells us he's is going to ask his manager if he can take us right to the door. His manager says yes, and we got door to door service. I'll never forget it. It's the little things that mean the most.
