How crazy crowded will the first night of Marti Gras be? Is it worth doing?

I'm going to be staying in universal though what seems to be the beginning of their Mardi Gras celebration.. They have Saturday Feb7th listed as their first concert night.. does this mean thats Friday won't have any marti gras stuff and that the crowd starts on Saturday?

Any help on what to expect would be appreciated! Thanks

Mardi Gras is only on the listed dates. Crowd size usually depends entirely on who's playing and how popular they are. It can range from relatively dead to a complete madhouse.

Expect a madhouse, just from lifestylers. Still bound to be best parade in Orlando tho, so worth the effort.
