How busy will WDW be in February?

We have our reservations made for Feb 19-28. I know that February is generally a slower time of year, atleast as "slow" as WDW gets. So is there anything going on that may cause this time to be busier than normal or will it still be "slow"?

The resorts actually switch from value season to peak/holiday season on or around February 14th so it will actually be fairly busy when you go. This is due to a number of school districts around the country having a mid winter break that coincides with Presidents day. It will not be 4th of July busy, but don't expect to have the parks to yourself.

You will want to do all the stuff you would regularly do to avoid the crowds like getting to the parks before they open, using fastpass, etc.

I was in WDW around the same time you are going this past February. It looks like you will be there during the Princess Half Marathon weekend which will be busy. After that weekend the parks slow down. The crowd size was low and we were able to do everything we wanted to do. The weather was pretty perfect as well. You will have a great time!

We will be there the same time as we are running in the 10k during the Princess Half weekend. We are hoping it is slow after the weekend! Can't wait to go.

Just as a general answer -- I've been to WDW in every month of the year over the past decade...just as a heads up, the parks are NEVER "empty" or "you have the park to yourself" anymore...year round, the parks are full. It is true that lines and waits will be shorter in September and January...slightly picking up in October and February..Those are considered the "off-peak" months. But it is never "slow" anymore.

We went in Feb of 2013 and Feb of 2014. 2013 was the first week of the month and wasn't bad at all...when we went in 2014 it was busier because we went for Valentines Day and all the kids we were off for President's Day...it was def busier ...but not horrible

Speaking of this.... We were at MK during Wine and Dine in 11/2012 and they had EMH's that went till 3 am. I can tell you at 2:30 Am you have the park to yourself!!!!!! Coming around the back corner by Pirates there was nobody to be seen, no cast members and no other park guests! It was Awesome and Creepy at the same time.

When they had E-Ride Nights (the precursor to EMH), you had very few poeple in the park. It was almost ominous. It was so much fun to be able to walk on to all the top rides.

We went last year at the end of Love Week or Romance Week or whatever they called the week of Valentine's Day - and it was President's Day holiday weekend, to boot. It was busier than normal - 1+ hour wait for most of the popular rides at MK. And cold, very cold.

Yeah, I keep waiting for the "after the Christmas holidays you will have the park to yourself" trip....

Ditto here. Can hardly wait for my first Disney run.
We were there for the TofT weekend in 2013. I did the 10 mile and the DH and DS did the 5k. It was our first Run Dis event we all had a blast, it was such a fun time. When we are there in Feb for the Princess 1/2 we are going to be keeping our fingers crossed for a bounce back offer that will allow us to come back for the Wine & Dine in November. Our Run Disney medals need friends. :)

Didn't think of the bounce back. We want to do the Everest Challenge in May if they still have it - I heard rumor it had been cancelled. :(

I go every year during the second week of February for my b-day.
This year I was literally the only person on the street in Frontierland watching the MSEP during EMH. It was awesome. I was also one of a very few people walking around the World Showcase during the Epcot EMH.

I think it is the best time of year to go. No heat, humidity, sweating. Light crowds.
But I'm sure things get busier after that week, with all the stuff going on later in the month.

We went in early Feb of 2012 and had a great time. Light crowds and very cool weather. Our only complaint was having to deal with the participants in the cheerleading competitions.

The key is early February, typically before the 14th.

My anniversary is on the 11th and my birthday is on the 12th so the wife and I use to always do a solo trip around the middle of February. There is a near night and day difference in crowds once you pass the middle of the month.

So did we so we moved our trip up to the Princess half weekend.

I'm doing the Princess Marathon weekend - the 5K - by myself. But my DD was going to join me for the Everest Challenge, which is why I'm bumbed if it's cancelled. Haven't told her yet.....
