How busy is WDW the last week of October?

I know I have seen on multiple sites to never do MNSSHP at the end of October. But I wondered if all the parks are busy around Halloween or if it is just Magic Kingdom? I live so far away (Michigan) that I have no clue what the crowd and activity level is like then.

I'm also curious about what the Disney Resorts and theme parks the aren't MK do for Halloween. Is there anything special or just the normal activities?

Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

That week is busy imo but pretty much all of October is now a days. MK is the main one for halloween with the MNSSHP but sometimes DHS will do something...like last year they did the Villains Party hard ticket event. Epcot still has f&w going on at that time. There are sometimes seasonal cupcakes at the other parks but overall it's all MK.

Thank you! That is helpful!

Yep... the days of slower times are quickly on the wane... I'm thinking going to visit during the (formerly) dead time of mid-september, but even that now... with F&W well under way... may still see some crowds. And don't they start MNSSHP fairly early in September now?

I was there back in 2013 for that Halloween week and overall, I found it very manageable crowd wise. Now, the World Showcase in Epcot got pretty nutty because of Food & Wine, but if you hit it on a weekday before 3 or 4 pm, you were good.

Admittedly, that was four years ago, so it may have changed in the interim.

We have gone to WDW Halloween week for the past 3 years and have never had an issue. Sure its busy but absolutely manageable if you plan correctly. We stay away from Epcot on Sat and Sun (because of F&W crowds)but other than that our park schedule isnt too strategic. The weather is WONDERFUL too....so that helps!!! We are heading down the second week in September this year....i have a feeling i will miss those Oct/Nov temps!!!

We were there last year for Halloween week. We did MNSSHP on Halloween night just because we wanted to. The rest of the week wasn't too bad. Avoid Epcot on Sat and Sun.

Yes... they start it fairly early now, the up side to that early start is that if you want the best hard ticket experiences they tend to be the earlier Halloween parties because so many people seem to want to wait until closer to Halloween that they early times are the ones most likely to have the near walk-on experience with many rides.... Down side is their are fewer people dressed in costumes at those earlier parties.

We have actually decided to go with the first two weeks in December and try the Christmas Party as we have never been to it before.

Now I just have to try and figure out with week we will be at WDW as we are splitting our time with a Universal package and Discovery Cove. I kinda want to do WDW last, "save the best for last" and all that. But if it would be better to do it the first week I would be open to it.

Any suggestions?

We did a Dec 4-9 trip a few years ago... it was good, with the only real crowds being the scooter brigade around the area of the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. Evenings are quite popular there every night with the local after-4pm crowds. If you are able, I would definitely recommend the Candlelight Processional Dining Package to reduce line time and have a guaranteed seat.

We went in October the year hurricane Sandy went through and everything went great, We always have a good game plan so we didn't notice any thing out of the ordinary. We just went last October and had a blast. Although it was through Halloween into the 1st week in November everything went accordingly. It is a real nice time to visit. We normally go in November at that time of year. Depending on schedules at least I am going again next October.
