Hi,
Well, I have decided on a place to stay during our trip and now I need help on when to go. We are doing the Buy 5 get 2 nights free and have a limited time to choose from. I posted about September earlier and I think it may be a bit too warm for 2 small kids and a baby. My question is how busy would you think October 30th to Nov. 6th? We are not into the Halloween celebration stuff but my daughter turns 5 Nov. 2nd and that would be a wonderful way to spend her birthday. So should I go for it despite the Halloween stuff and crowds or just pick a different week to go? Thanks!

Halloween rocks at disney. We went in 02 and stayed at the polynesian. This year will be the third time we have gone in october. We love it. The crowds aren't bad and the weather is very comfortable. We also love the wine and food festival. Its like a bonus for the adults.

I think you will really enjoy it.

I'm 98% sure that everyone (Including CM's) say that October is the least crowded time of year. My parents went in October a few years ago and it was absolutely dead, so I don't think you'll have too much of a problem :)

October in general is not crowded. We have gone in October for the past three years. However, we took our two year old last year 10/25 through 11/1 and it was a nightmare at the Magic Kingdom and Downtown Disney. The worst day to be at the park was Halloween. It was so crowded you could not push your stroller, much less let your child walk because she constantly got knocked down in the crowds of people. We also waited 45 minutes for a bus at WL on Halloween because WDW did not expect the high attendance that week according to a CM. The crowds that week reminded me of a busy July day. I suggest the week before Halloween or the week after. Been there at those times and it was better.

We went the week of halloween 2 years ago and thought it was great hardly any lines. The most crowded day at the park was Halloween, the locals come out. But the rest of the week was not crowded at all. Last year we took advantage of the value season and I felt it was much more crowded the first week of November than it was in October. I believe all of NJ is out of school the first week of November and you have veterans day the following week. We are planning to go the last week of October this year. Weather was great .

We went last year, from the 23rd-27th. Crowds were low, Food & Wine Festival was great, weather is cool. Also be certain to get tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's a blast. We will be going again this year around the 17th.

I was there Oct 26-Nov 9 last year and it was fab! The weather is just lovely, not too crowded. The food and wine festival is great!
I would recommend then or about a month later.
